Dinner Time
Dinner Time

Today I want to share a new concept which will be handy for some of you, specially to those who love to cook their own meal but never have the real time to do some grocery shopping or like everything else you want it at your doorstep :p I know some who’ve got husbands going on business trips and they’d wish there was someone to do the groceries for the dinner. This is where Dinner Time can help you. No more time wasting on the internet as well as searching for the right recipe as that’s all provided by DinnerTime.

Dinner Time helps you in the following way:

  • They plan a dinner menu for the week.
  • They do the grocery for you and delivery the ingredients at your doorstep
  • They share the recipe so you know how to cook it
  • The dish recommended is healthy enough filled by properties such as anti-oxidants, anti-bacterial etc.

You can go online at DinnerTime and see what they have to offer for this week. If you like the planned menu for the week you can order for 2 or 4 people and they will bring you the whole kit by Sunday at your doorstep which will consist of dinner ingredients for the entire week. The storage duration is also mentioned in the catalogue provided in the box. It was quite exciting for the family as it was the first time we were trying out something like this. It was interesting to see even measuring spoons (from IKEA) provided along with the expected ingredients such as vegetables, milk and meat 😀

The first dinner we tried was the Roast chicken with chickpea stuffing & Big Green Salad. All that we were going to cook this week from DinnerTime was all new to us but they looked promising online and we just hoped it would be the same. Surprisingly all the maincourse we made which were exactly as per the recipe came out very well. Really good that we’ve decided to now include these recipes as part of our regular dinner schedule.

I am not a big fan of vegetables but it turned that even the veggie burger was tasting great. This was the only menu that had a lot more than 4 people and eventually it ended up in my office tiffin as well.

The Fish Casserole was one of my favourites. I am very much looking forward to having this again but this time yeah i’ll be doing the grocery for this one :p and If there was something that didn’t reach upto my expectation was the Chocolate crunch bar below. It was ok but not something you will want to make again.

How can I forget this one. The Italian beef stew was brilliant. See now i am really confused, was it the recipe alone doing the magic or should I give the credit to my wife as well :p

You can order online. They have 2 types of package once is standard and other is Gluten free. What you saw above was from the standard package. Pricing would be like:

  • A standard dinner package for 2 people is around Dhs 280
  • A standard dinner package for 4 people is around Dhs 420
