Al Badiya is the all day dining restaurant of Tilal Liwa Hotel. If you are staying at Tilal Liwa Hotel then this is where breakfast buffet is served. They cover a wide range of regional and international cuisine. Staying in the desert you focus a little extra on the food as there isn’t much distraction like in the city and these guys owning the biggest kitchen at Tilal Liwa Hotel does serve you a scrumptious meal.

The interiors are grand. We chose to sit close to the windows having a nice view of the center court of Tilal Liwa Hotel. We were given an ipad to browse through their menu but the best part was when they gave this ipad to the kids to play games. There were four kids while we were here for lunch and all four of them were given the ipad to play. This was a nice gesture by the restaurant.

They have a long list of mocktails. Even though both were drinks you could enjoy, I’d say pick the fruity flavour which I thought was much better. The stuffed ricotta cheese and spinach ravioli camed dipped in a creamy saffron sauce which all together was a delicious one. Although I felt it was a little over load of cream and cheese. The pasta was fantastic. Well prepared and had  a nice touch of flavour to it. Just like how the Italians would make it.

The new zealand beef was a beauty to the eye. It was a nice tough looking steak but was a juicy meat on the inside. The new zealand beef here is a must try if you love steak in general which comes with a choice of either pepper or mushroom sauce. The grilled scottish Salmon was a melt in the mouth, although the lentil rice was not to my liking.

The baked cheese cake was divine. Good enough that even the kids who usually don’t eat them had it today. The Tiramisu was a good looking dessert, mainly thanks to the espresso dust art on top. But unfortunately this Tiramisu was very cold on the inside. Overall Al Badiya does serve well prepared and delicious food which does not disappoint. Click here to visit the official website.
