Cabana is a pool side restaurant located on the terrace of The Address, Dubai Mall with a perfect view of the tallest building in the world(Burj Khalifa). We were here on a thursday night which was an exclusive day of flavourful South American grills barbecued over charcoal fire and other Brazilian delicacies accompanied by LIVE Brazilian entertainment of music and Samba Dancers. The Churrasco nights at Cabana is priced at AED 295 inclusive of soft drinks and happens only on Thursday nights from 07:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Cabana is located on the 3rd floor of The Address, Dubai Mall. It was free seating around the pool. You could be close to the stage or close to the grills and buffet or far away from all of it in a quieter space. About the seats, I highly recommend to catch the tables closer to the buffet and you’ll know why as you read the post further. Cabana is on the open terrace of The Address, Dubai Mall with a complete view of Burj Khalifa. I just wished I could be here for the new year Fireworks as well! Through out our dinner we would see Burj Khalifa shining with different lighting by the minute and hour. The weather was just fantastic.
We were served random mocktails as requested and all of which were different in color, taste and cannot disappoint. On our table we found this interesting token where on one side was green and other side red. It seems if you wanted meat to be delivered to your table then you keep it turned green so the server is aware you are open to more meat else you can just place the red side to stop. Quite an interesting protocol. To be honest, I haven’t seen them noticing my green token very well. Often I had to shout or wave my hands to catch their attention to get my share of meat.
The only time we got up from our table was to grab the starters, mains and desserts from their buffet section.
From the Buffet:
- Cucumber | White beans | Tomato | Carrot
Mixed capsicum | Selection of lettuce | Sweet corn
Mixed olives | Dressings | Lemon dressing | cilantro dressing | cocktail sauce | basil pesto | Balsamic dressing | Mangoressing | Ranch dressing | Selection of artisan cheese platter | Cold cuts platter with traditional condiments
- Broccoli salad with tomato | Coleslaw Salad | Greek salad |Chicken Green beans | Artichoke salad | Smoked salmon Platter | Pineapple salad | Hummus | Mutabal | Tabouleh
Selection of Main courses from the buffet:
- Fried Rice | Beef Stroganoff | Cream of Corn | Black Beans
Black Beans | Seafood Stew

For the Churrasco night at Cabana they have authentic South American entertainment. You would find LIVE Cuban singers/Guitarist. Latino keyboard player and the center of attraction were the Samba Dancers. The Samba Dancers would dance so fast that my camera could hardly keep up with them to get a steady picture. The Samba Dancers were the definite entertainers for the night and is one of the main highlight after their grills.
Churassco nights is all about the meat. They have LIVE grilling station where you could request the pieces of meat grilled the way you want or just relax at your seat while they come by random grilled meat. One of my favourites would be the short ribs. Delicate, tender and a melt in the mouth. We were all impressed with the quality of meat.
They had a selection of atleast 14 different meats which includes beef, lamb, seafood, chicken. Some of them which you could find would be as below:
- Brazilian Sausage
- Smoked Sausage
- Garlic Chicken Thighs
- Bacon –Wrapped chicken
- Chicken Parmesan
- Top Sirloin
- PicanhaHouse Specialty
- Beef Ribs
- Filet Mignon
- Beef Rib eye
- Rack of Lamb
- Garlic Picanha
- Boneless Leg of Lamb
From my experience at the Churrasco night, I can give you one tip. Try to get a table close to the buffet if you are the lazy ones like us who prefer to have all the meats delivered to your table. We were sitting farthest from the LIVE meat station and the long skewers would be empty by the time it could reach our table at most times. So there is a little bit of waiting and not necessary we got all those meats said in the menu unless we went there at the LIVE cooking station and specifically ordered them.
For the desserts there wasn’t anything really exciting except I should say the best was the Brazilian special which was a grilled pineapple, a perfect icing for the Churrasco night. So make sure you try that one. It’s different and it’s not something you find everywhere.
