If you are one of those Nando’s die hard fans then you definitely don’t want to miss this post. Get a look into the future. Nando’s will be launching an entire new menu on October 5th. It’s a major revamp of their existing menu. They have made additions/changes to every part of their menu possible from sides, wraps, burgers, salads, pita, dippers, desserts etc. More than chicken lovers it’s good news for vegetarians as there’s been nice additions to burgers, wraps, pitas, salads and sides for them. Continue reading to see some that you’ve never seen before at Nando’s 😉
We started by dipping the warm pita breads into the red pepper dip and oh it was lovely. It’s not as spicy as I thought but just perfect to enjoy it. Just then our drinks came in and I can tell you, try the Madeira red drink as opposed to Crimson Cola, as you know the cola always dominates the taste. When you have it along with red pepper dip, the sweet Madeira red tastes even better. The new vegetarian sides(peas and bean salad) was interesting, something the vegetarians would really appreciate. The macho peas was more to my liking.
This was the interesting part for us at Nando’s. Really impressed with the vegetarian sides of things. Vegetable burger was always there in the Nando’s menu but has been improved by adding chilli jam and tangy yoghurt sauce. The new vege wraps were amazing. Thick and loaded. My favourite was the black mushroom halloumi wrap. The new Algarve salad was little too dry(felt like eating raw vegetables), thought it should have more dressing to get the aroma out of that healthy content on the plate.
They’ve even upgraded their no.1 seller the espetadas. This time they’ve brought it in a new flavour by stuffing those grilled chickens with parsley and feta. This is definitely a welcome change as we love the espetada at Nando’s and have been eating the same for quite some time. Not to mention the Espetada Carnival chicken on the skewers were succulent and juicy. From all the wraps, my favourite was this chicken Ceasar wrap. It was just fantastic. The parmesan cheese and crispness in it’s taste was very different from all other wraps I had today. I highly recommend to try this new piece of wrap if you are a non-veg. The chicken tender pieces inside the chicken pita had a nice tangy taste to it. What surprised me were the chicken wings. It looked great but wasn’t convincing as the others in the new menu. I think it needs a better formula to keep up with the other items from their new menu.
Desserts were even more enticing and was the sweetest ending I could ask for. I still want to have more of that chocolate peanut butter stack, it was just irresistible. The moist chocolate cake was rich, dense and would just melt in your mouth. The smooth cream cheese icing on the carrot cake made the carrot cake very special. Overall, had a wonderful time at Nando’s with the new menu looking very promising and will be available across all stores next month from October 5th. The menu on their official uae site is yet to be updated. Meanwhile click pictures below to enjoy them in full screen view:
[…] At the counter they have some jaw dropping desserts from tarts, cakes, torte, pies. One of their happening dessert here is the Potted Banana cream pie. I didn’t want to miss it when I saw it in the pictures. This pie from Cafe 302 is definitely their best seller. The last time I had an amazing Banana pie was at Magnolia Bakery and just when I thought there can’t be a better one, here I am drooling over this luscious pot of dessert. They had 3 different types of tarts and I went for the raspberry one which had a thick filling of custard inside and fairy tale ending for my sweet tooth. To be honest, The chocolate peanut butter stack was not upto the mark. It couldn’t live up to it’s deadly looks. I’ve had better chocolate peanut butter stack like from Nando’s. […]
