Celebrate Iftar at Ewaan, Palace Downtown Dubai and eat like a King. The long and tall restaurant located at the heart of Downtown Dubai just besides the Dancing Fountain is an Iftar with an elegance. Ewaan serves you middle eastern specialties and they’ve got everything you need for Arabic food lovers.
Iftar: AED 240 per person | AED 120 per child of 6 to 11 years
At the entrance we were served the welcome drink the Arabic way, typically found in Damascus. There was LIVE music being played in the background. Ewaan with a generous space, a high ceiling, the long curtains does make you feel eating in a palace. You could sit inside or outside. There was a decent breeze outside, I guess it was coming from the 24 acre man made Burj Lake located next to it.
The hot and Cold Mezzeh were outstanding here. Vegetarians would love their options here as much as the non veg. There is plenty of cold mezzeh you could enjoy. One unique item I really enjoyed from the cold mezzeh was their avocado hummus. Different and nice. I love the seafood collection especially those grilled tandoori salmon and tiger prawns. The buffet is well spread causing no rush at the counter.
In the Center of the Ewaan hall was the curry specialties, BBQ grills, steamed vegetables etc. It is possible that you could be full just by sampling them as the collection here was overwhelming. The lamb grills were specifically of great taste.
For Meat lovers there was a full succulent baby lamb, a full cooked fish such as Hammour, fully sized Beef Ribs, Lamb legs, full chicken. They also have LIVE pasta cooking stations for those who want a piece of Italy.
Desserts had it’s own glitter at Ewaan. A long selection of full sized cakes. When it comes to Arabic sweets you could never be short of anything as they had everything you needed as you see above. Although I must point out I’ve had better kunafas than the one’s found here and probably they could do better at it. The funny part is you have everything right in front of you but by the time you reach the dessert section you are too full to convince yourself to have anything.
Ewaan at The Palace Downtown Dubai has lot to thrill you with their middle eastern cuisine. Iftar will definitely be felt special here, thanks to it’s prime location and dancing fountain around it. Click here to know more about them. Click below to see pictures in full screen view:
