LeTen, the newly open Modern Asian Dining restaurant at Dubai Mall brings you some of the finest flavours of Asia on to your plate. If you are a fan of Asian food then get ready to be thrilled with their mouth watering menu and Asian cuisines that come with a twist of fusion . Famous cuisines from China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thai can all be found in their menu.
LeTen interior is very elegant. From the outside you are just curious about the inside. I noticed this royal looking restaurant while I visited Fridays next to it. The high ceiling and chandelier gives this restaurant a premium touch to it’s interior space. But it’s a small restaurant.
They surely make drinks that can blow you away. The Red velvet Frachiller was a unique treat which was simply irresistible. Frappes with Jackfruit is not often heard of. The spiced Mangosteen Maragarita was spicy like the name but again you appreciate the art of this drink. They fuse interesting ingredients and make magic out of them. With this start, our journey at LeTen could only get exciting…
The seafood soup was luscious. We just loved it. It’s a must to begin with their soups. They make it so well and was a perfect start for the mains. Pickled Garlic Cucumber and Cherry Tomatoes with Plum was nothing different, just tasted as expected. I’d rather recommend to try some of their other tantalizing appetizers like the golden vegetable money bag which is in my radar for the next visit and even the szechuan sausages 🙂
Then came the crispy duck with an interesting presentation. They were handmade and prepared right in front of us and placed on our table. If you love ducks, you are going to enjoy this one. The Mongolian beef came a little over fried. The beef was a little stiff even though I was enjoying the sweet pepper sauce on top. I love chicken but I hate espresso and this one was a fusion called the Espresso Chicken. Since I really couldn’t stand the taste of espresso, I really couldn’t enjoy the well done chicken by itself. Nevertheless it was a unique dish. Never tried this combination before.
The baked honey cod fish was my favourite. The fish was baked well and that touch of honey was lovely. The simply looking seafood rice was a nice pair to the cod fish. The wasabi prawns came on a tiny piece of watermelon fusing fruits and seafood. Felt the prawn was a little too small, a king sized prawn would have been lovely.
There wasn’t nothing Asian about the desserts. They were just international but it was a great ending to our dinner at LeTen. Especially the Hot Chocolate fondant combined with the cold vanilla ice cream was a perfect one for the chocolate lovers. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and Tiramisu was a good one too.
