You wouldn’t want to miss out on a brunch offered by the famous British Celebrity Chef, Gordon Ramsay. It was one of those Family brunches that really understood families and designed their friday brunch giving priority to children as much as adults. Bread Street Kitchen’s Family brunch offers hot and cold starters, selection of mains which includes British classics and a dessert platter to share with exciting activities tailored for children and complimentary access for everyone to Atlantis Lost Chambers Aquarium. The Family Brunch starts at a price of AED 225 and AED 95 per children which includes Mocktails and Juices.
Interiors are wide with tall ceiling. Bread Street Kitchen was running on a high capacity for their Friday Family Brunch. The seating were more like a brunch in an open hall with tables little close to each other. There was LIVE music being played in the background. Although they had seating outdoors, it wasn’t really open for the weather. Kids can be found hanging around in their private garden during the Brunch.
With Non-Alcholic package, we had a choice of Mocktails and Fresh Juices. For the first time I got to have a mocktail made by children, thanks to the children friendly Family brunch. Bread Street Kitchen gives your child an experience on how to make a mocktail, they go through the typical procedure of mixing juices, shaking and decorating them with different syrups. Bread Street Kitchen really excels when it comes to Kids entertainment.
The hot starters are brought to your table. They have 3 pre selected hot starters for their Brunch. My favourite would be their flatbread which came with caramelized onions, pesto sauce and pine nuts. I preferred the chicken wings that came along the kids starters menu than the soggy Tamarind spiced wings.
Drinks, Hot starters and mains are brought to your table. But you walk up to the buffet to pick up your cold starters. Some of their cold starter would be Devil Tuna, Cauliflower Parfait, tomato salad, Cesar Salad, Freekeh Salad, Smoked Salmon, Tuna Tartar. They also have a bread station. The devil tuna and salads were my favourites from the cold starters.
So far it hasn’t been too much to eat for a brunch. But their mains are hearty and huge that it can just fill you up right away. You definitely want to try their British classic of Yorkshire pudding and roast beef. It probably is the best you can find in Dubai. The Salmon was fresh and had a nice flavour to it. The pasta, fish and chips which we picked from the kids menu were just wonderful. They nailed the mains perfectly well.
Kids get to make their own dessert. They go through a program of mixing cinnamon Nachos, sauces and decorating with different toppings. Wearing a chefs hat and a blue Bread Street apron makes them really proud and you could see it in their face.
Then came the beautiful display of desserts at our table. I was in complete love with the bread & butter softie ice cream. If not for the family brunch, you can buy this softie from their ice cream counter, priced at AED 20. One of the best softies I’ve had. The lemon tart which came with meringue on top was simply brilliant. Eton mess just felt like eating a strawberry ice cream. The banana pudding was yummy yum but it’s difficult to finish it after a heavy Brunch.
You could also visit the Ice cream counter where you get to make your own sundae. Lots of different candies were available at the counter too. You had a selection ice cream from mint & oreo, hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla, mango etc.
We received our entry tags to the lost chambers Aquarium during our brunch. It really was a perfect ending for the entire family brunch experience. A unique finish to our brunch like never before.
If there is anything they need to improve it would be their service. We had long waiting for our order and they even brought a wrong order to our table(Imagine you getting someone else’s dessert plate on your table when you are expecting a starter) and our mains came wrong after a long wait too. It is interesting to note that this was coming from Gordon Ramsays team. I can imagine him blasting them if he was there.
Long story short the family brunch program at Bread Street Kitchen is one of the best family brunches you could find in Dubai, it surely deserves an A. Click here to visit their official website. Click pictures to below to see them in full screen view:
