The St. Regis Polo Brunch, a brunch in an equestrian-inspired luxury resort mainly influenced by Spanish cuisine, Argentinian grills along with a side kick of Arabic, Italian and Indian specialties. A brunch with panoramic views of wide green grass polo fields while you munch your brunch. The St. Regis Polo Brunch happens every Friday from 12:30–4:00 pm starting from AED 345.
You have a choice to sit inside or outside for the St. Regis Polo Brunch. Ofcourse sitting outside would be the best as you have wonderful views of their polo fields where you also get to see first hand polo matches. But as the afternoon is getting warmer it might be a better choice to be seated inside in their air conditioned space. If you really want to get a table inside make you sure you do a reservation as we didn’t manage to get an inside table without a reservation. As the heat is building up for the brunch hour in the coming weeks, they should consider having water fans for tables outside.

They have an interesting collection of hot appetizers. Some of them which we don’t see often like the Lobster kibbeh and Potato with lamb casserole. The refill time for the hot appetizers was a bit slow. In my case I waited for the tempting chicken tenders and lamb casserole for a bit but never saw them getting refilled during my wait. Otherwise the collection of appetizers they had were satisfying.
SEA FOOD BAR
- Atlantic lobster
- Shrimp
- Oyster medium
- Oyster large
- Mussels
- Snow crab
Except for the LIVE Grills, the rest of the brunch buffet is inside the restaurant. The buffet is spread across their spacious restaurant, you need to keep your eyes open else you might miss few stations like I did. In my case, I completely missed the salad bar which were placed deeper in a corner of the restaurant. The cold seafood bar is to be noted. If you love mussels and oysters then you are going be in love with this station.
COLD CUTS
- Beef bresola,
- Cecina,
- Beef Salami,
- Smoked turkey ham
- Chicken roulade
Meats
- Braised Lamb shank Tajin
- Lamb shank, chickpea, apricot, prunes
- Beef stew with pepper sauce
- Beef, pepper sauce, celeriac pure, mix wild mushroom
- Lamb chops with glazed onion juice
- Asparagus, baby carrot, sautéed vegetable
The meats were mighty, beginning with their lamb. I started of with cooked meats such as Braised lamb shanks and there were so tender filled with high intensity flavour. We were quite impressed with the quality they deliver for a buffet. Traditional lamb chops could be found separately inside the restaurant besides the LIVE BBQ & Grill station and don’t miss that one!
LIVE BBQ & CARVING STATION
- Selection of Argentinian Cut on the grill
- Argentinian Beef roast with carving Jus
- Lamb leg with mint sauce
- Striploin, tenderloin, rib eye, short ribs, prawns, sea bass
Selection of sauce
Chimichurri, salsa criolla, peppercorn sauce, selection of mustard) Paella Valenciana live
The Live grilling station was the real highlight at the St. Regis polo brunch. The BBQ station is outside facing the Polo field. You can select from a range of fresh meats and they grill them right away but in the Argentinian style, which means grilling with a lighter flame, slow grilling which also makes the meats tender. More than chicken and Lamb I was completely impressed with their beef and seafood. The beefs(Striploin, tenderloin, rib eye, short ribs) were juicy and we ran back for more. They also had home made sauces and we can confidently say we had one of the best Chimichurri sauce.
Sea food
- Fish Chermoulla
- Coriander, semi dry tomato, dill, olive oil
- Mix seafood gratin
- Dill sauce, onion citrus grape, fennel sliced, semi dry tomato
- Squid salt & pepper fry
- Squid ring, onion tomato masala, coconut cream
The Spanish special Paella was another attraction at the LIVE BBQ station. Often you would see the chef filling it up with flavours and it’s made fresh right in front of you. Paella is definitely appealing when you see them cooking it LIVE, especially when you see them throw all those fresh vegetables, seafood and sauces into the making of Paella.
PASTA & RISOTTO STATION
LIVE PASTA station was another attraction at the brunch. Four different options of Pasta(Penne, Spaghetti, Ravioli, Risotto) along with a choice of sauce(Tomato sauce, White cream sauce, Bolognaise sauce). We tried the Ravioli pasta stuffed with cheese and spinach along with a mix of tomato and cream sauce and we absolutely loved it. Fresh, hot and this was one station in demand after BBQ station.

- Live Cooking Station of French Foie Gras
Celeriac mash
Apple compote

- Cotton candy station
- Popcorn station

Kids are going to love the The St. Regis Polo Brunch as much as the adults as this brunch is well packed with entertainment for the kids while they have their brunch. Beginning with a dedicated buffet hall just for kids with their kind of food. A mega sized cartoon theatre with cozy seats. Games such as air hockey and Foosball are available for them to play. There was a bouncy castle outside, in the polo fields. Lets also not forget the horses they get to see and touch.
DESSERT TABLE
- Chocolate and Caramel Tart
- Key Lime
- Dark Chocolate Mousse Madagascar vanilla Creme Brulee
- Fruit salad, ginger syrup Cheesecake
- Strawberry Marshmallow Tart Argentinean Alfajores
- Milk Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cake Brownies, Raspberry
- Textures Chocolate Pudding

The sweet treat at the brunch was like a dream come true, a paradise of desserts! It was like picking a dessert from the counter of an unlocked pastry shop where you have them in it’s complete size and design. The best part they were really good and you just wouldn’t be able to stop with just a few as these desserts were luscious as ever and each one of them was good looking as the other and you would be curious to know what do each one of them taste like. The Dark Chocolate Mousse Madagascar vanilla Creme Brulee was my favourite here.
There was a polo match after brunch hour (04:00pm) so we sat for a while after our brunch watching the Polo game. During this time we also had the opportunity to walk near the horses, touch them and if you can negotiate then you might even be able to sit on one of those horses.
We ended our brunch with an excellent hot tea and coffee at their lounge. For tea they had a variety of fresh tea and we picked the white tea with a strong fruity smell. A similar experience to TWG when ordering your tea here where you get to smell a range of tea before you order. There was also kind enough to seat us at their Lounge where we could quietly sip our hot drinks, watch the game through their windows and relax in cool air.
