The electric shutters is an attraction to many. You don’t see many cars with this feature. Every time you switch on the A/C the shutters open, and closes when you don’t need it. Also note they have a touch sensor for every Air vent to adjust the speed of the ventilation.

The interior space has been increased in the new Audi A8. There is more headroom, legroom than it’s predecessor model. The doors are much larger in the Audi A8 which makes it really easy to step in and out. The Large panaramic glass sunroof is actually a standard option in the Audi A8. The electric handles in the car makes it so easy opening doors. You just need to give it a light pull with just a finger and the doors would open. The regular tasks are made so convenient here.

There is no compromise for the A8 car seats. The premium leather seats have been extremely comfortable. There is plenty of seat upholstery option with contrasting stitching and piping throughout the car. Same goes with the inlays with fine wood used combined by premium paints such as the graphite gray or dark brushed aluminum. I couldn’t find the massage option in these seats, I thought that should have been a standard feature in the A8.

The Steering design reminds of you a plane than a car. The new design of the steering wheel does make it convenient holding onto the steering wheel comfortably during long drives. The controls on the steering wheel helps navigate channels, GPS, phone calls, volume etc.

Audi drive select has modes such as comfort, auto and dynamic with a separate lift mode for rough roads. From a speed of 120 km/h, the body is automatically lowered by 20 millimeters for improved aerodynamics. All it is not really felt, it is seamless. Traveling in this car for long hours should not be a problem as you hardly feel any fatigue. This car is designed so well that you are ensured to be moving in utmost comfort. The head up display has been useful in not just displaying your speed but also gives you directions when the navigation is ON. The headup display has been crisp and easy to view details even during day light.

The Audi A8 is big and it could have been difficult parking but thanks to the handy 360 degree camera parking this big car was never a problem. There is plenty of camera all around the car which generates a 360 view of the car from the top and is of great help when parking in tight spaces.

The MMI touch response comes as standard with

10.1- and 8.6-inch high-resolution HD touchscreens for displaying and controlling infotainment and convenience functions. No buttons, fewer keys and a richer experience. But the sad part is that the touch screen is prone to finger prints. The display however has been crisp and no matter which day light, it has never been a problem looking at the display content. I love the fact that we can actually write on the MMI and it even identifies a word written without any spaces in a typical handwritten fashion. You really appreciate technology when you are inside this car. The MMI touch also has a haptic feedback like our iphones. You need to gently press which delivers a mechanical pulse as a response of confirmation. Click sounds can also be heard from the speakers. The icons on the dashboard can also be rearranged like how we do it on our desktops.

The ambience lighting is another highlight of this car which sets a tone and visually makes the atmosphere in the car pleasant. You can have 6 different colors for ambient lighting and it activates automatically whenever there is less light. Like I remember every time we went under a shade the ambient light always showed up.

The sun blinds are electronic in this car. They can also be controlled from all the four doors and if needed it they can be controlled using the rear seat remote. The rear seat room is actually found in the rear seat and is a convenient feature to control all the essential convenience functions of the car sitting in the rear seat. The device would allow to control climate settings, seat, lighting adjustment and media functions including reading lights and blinds.
