Guylian is a familiar chocolate brand that we’ve been seeing them in stores for many years world wide. Their signature sea shell designed chocolates comes to our mind when we remember Guylian chocolates. Last year, they finally have opened their first cafe in Dubai. The true spirit of Guylian Belgian chocolate is perfectly orchestrated inside this chocolate cafe and you will come out having a different perspective about them. They are also now open in Pointe, Mirdif and Dubai Mall. Guylian chocolates uses West – African cocoa beans made with 100% cocoa butter. Try everything made from chocolate here and you are going to love them as we did.
The Pointe located at Palm Jumeirah is a new venue and a perfect spot if you love eating as they have many eateries with a fantastic ocean view. So as expected most people opt to sit outside the restaurant with a sea view unless the weather is too warm. The walls of Guylian Cafe will tell you stories of their past in pictures. You have a nice view of their chocolates, cakes, pastries and ice creams from their glass counter which helps you decide before you order.
Our excitement all began with their Iced Mocha. It just blew us away. The rich chocolate would just hit you and we were thrilled in every sip. The quality of the ice cream in this Mocha is also to be appreciated. The strawberry Margarita is a typical cold puree mocktail with sugar syrup but the Iced Mocha really stood out and a highly recommend one.
The Superboast Salad was a healthy cut of beautiful looking vegetables. My favourites inside these would be the Avocado, rocket leaves and quinoa. It is the color and the unique vegetables makes it an interesting one. We loved the feta cheese on the smashed Avocado toast. The breads used were nice. Tomato and Bocconcini sandwich was really heavy and I don’t think you need to eat anything else after this particular sandwich. We enjoyed the sundried tomato chutney on the bread which was really unique and gave the sandwich a nice flavour.
Ofcourse we had to try their Belgian chocolate desserts. Interestingly the Passion temptation was the best from the lot we tried, which was made from white chocolate mousse. Don’t get me wrong, the Belgian Chocolate mousse was also luscious but just that white mousse along with with caramelized passion fruit cream was tasting better. My most expectation was on the baked dark chocolate cake, unfortunately the dessert turned out to be a dry cake, you really couldn’t get the punch needed from a chocolate. The only one bonus for this dessert would be the add on strawberry sorbet ice cream that comes along with it.
They also make good coffee which is very pretty one as you see below. Click here to visit their official website. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view:
