Bread never tasted so good until we visited the Game of Toast restaurant. Based on the theme Game of Thrones, Game of Toast is one level above others when it comes to serving scrumptious toasts (which we generally love eating). It can be in the form of burger, sandwiches, sliders and other variety signature toasts. We just loved the quality of breads used here and is a must try if you were in Abu Dhabi.
As soon as we entered the restaurant, we could hear the background music of Game of Thrones playing. It’s pretty cool and spooky. Also let me warn you it’s a very small restaurant. It would be a disappointment to families who would like to come in groups and dine in. The wooden chairs are nicely carved to add to the theme of Game of Thrones and chandeliers in the form of barrel hanging from top.
The Mocktails were well prepared and had the right amount of ice to enjoy. I would say I was more in love with the Passion Fruit Mojito. The sides were fun to eat. Loved every bite of the fried Jalapeno Poppers especially when you dip with the sauces provided, the cheese steak and cheese fries was lot of fun eating. The juicy steak cuts was a sheer pleasure in between those cheese and fries.
We then started the best part of Games of Toast, the toasts! One thing we realized is it doesn’t matter what’s inside the sandwich, the toast by itself was amazing. All their toasts were wonderfully filled with melted cheese, grilled vegetables, meats and lots of sauces to add that jazz to their sandwiches. You could choose different kinds of toasts such as the wholewheat, brioche, black toast. Their thin black inked toast was the least favourite, I guess I was more happy eating their thicker bread rolls.
They didn’t have much when it comes to desserts. The real sweet treat would be the stuffed mini pancakes or the French Toast. The French toast was different and felt like it had custard in it, with plenty of Nutella and dusted sugar on top. Their stuffed pancakes(lotus or Nutella) look promising and probably that should be a good choice for a sweet tooth.
