We can never have enough of Turkish food and here’s a Turkish joint that we explored recently at JVC. It’s one of the smallest Turkish restaurant we’ve visited in Dubai but they still do deliver an amazing array of Turkish dishes to the table. Apart from the wide choice of Pide selections, they also serve breakfast, salads, hot/cold appetizers, pides, doners, fried pan items, Lahmacun, Grills, Wraps and Turkish sweets. They are not just limited to non-veg but also vegetarians have plenty of option to cheer about.

There is limited space on the inside and some might find it more suitable to be sitting outside away from their busy counter. Its a wide open kitchen so you can see everything being cooked first hand. Waiters have been attentive and we also noticed there were lot of takeaways at the restaurant in our little time at the restaurant. The packaging of the delivery food is also neat.

The first item that caught our attention was the king sized light long puffed bread that was placed on our table and it was just a pleasure tearing and eating it. We then tried their signature Pide which was a mix of 3 combinations of meat and cheese. Probably one of the best Pides you can enjoy in Dubai, it was of great quality, the base of the pide was commendable. The lamb stuffed dumpling was their new item in the menu and a fabulous one. This is a special starter you don’t find everywhere and is a must try if you want to try one of Turkish specialties. That touch of yoghurt and special sauces makes this starter an amazing one in the mouth.

AED 48.00 – Char-grilled patties made of lamb & beef stuffed with cheese served with burghul & salad

The Cheese Kofta was a highlight on the table for it’s presentation. It was an overwhelming platter with plenty for the eyes with salad, Burgul rice & 2 heavy weight Kofta. The cheese Kofta which was a grilled meat pattie had thick melted cheese flowing out of the Kofta as you cut them. The cheese Kofta was definitely filling. My personal favourite was the Iskender doner kebab. The doner was nice and juicy which none of us could resist. The yoghurt that came along as a side was very pure to it’s taste and cooling to the stomach. For drinks we also had their classic Ayran and they also have a local special fizzy drink which was more like a fruity soda that went well with the meal.

AED 14.00 -Yogurt & salt mixed with water

Pistachio Baklava – AED 32.00 – Layers of filed filled with chopped pistachio and sweetened and held together with syrup
We then ended our meal with some fine desserts. The Turkish Baklava was fabulous and a must try. The cheese kunafa was just ok i’d say. Instead I would highly recommend to try their signature dark chocolate dessert called the Souffle. Turkish coffee was really good and so was their Turkish tea which was a perfect ending to our meal at Pide Keyfi. Click here to visit their official website.
