Lamba is a dessert cafe that brings you some innovative desserts and luscious tasting coffee. If you think you’ve eaten all that fancy desserts then you might want to visit this dessert boutique. It’s a sweet little cafe located in Galleria Mall. The dessert cafe is only open from 04:00pm onwards. The desserts are made fresh in house and be it the brioche or phyllo they make it well and you will love it. It’s been an overwhelming sweetness at Lamba, scroll down further to know more.
It’s a little confusing to find the shop at first. You can only find Lamba when you are inside the Galleria Mall. The space is actually divided into two. One side is called Lamba and the outer side facing the main road is shared by their sister name which is open from breakfast. Nevertheless, It’s a nice cozy setup where you can spend some time chatting over a nice cup of coffee and dessert. The interior is worth admiring how they’ve made a small space look so pretty.
We tried two of their coffee. One was the cold and the other hot. The cold which is the lamba frappe was just outstanding. Loved every sip and highly recommend everyone to try. The only turn off being the amazing frappe is served in a small cup, which is too little for an addictive frappe. We picked the mango latte for the name, We’ve had many times a latte but not with a mango in it. This was really good, firstly we could appreciate the coffee beans used and the light touch of mango flavor gives this latte a nice flair. It’s worth a try. At the end of the day, you really appreciate the coffee served here.
Not often you find a babka at the cafes in Dubai. This was our first time. It’s a pretty good experience. A sweet bread which is stuffed with chocolate, sugar dusted on top, nicely crushed glucose biscuits that feels like nuts and a tall standing vanilla soft serve. I loved the soft serve by the way and along with the warm bread, it was great. Inspite of all the sugar around, there is an additional cheese milk sauce poured on top of the sweet bread which makes it extra sweet. There is no limit to sweetness at Lamba.
The cheese cake tower is their signature dessert and the most famous one on the social media pages. Honestly, this was our favourite too. A crisp phyllo filled with baked mascarpone cheese. There is heavy pour of milk chocolate kinder sauce that will be a delight to some, but was a little too sweet at the same time. We still enjoyed this crispy dessert and fought every inch for this one. The cone was a little challenging to break open but that’s the experience you get with this dessert.
Pacari chocolate cake gets the first prize for it’s elegance. The dessert definitely stands out for it’s presentation. unlike the other desserts, pacari chocolate cake came covered in a bowl floating in liquid nitrogen which made it a wonder dessert on the table. The pacari chocolate cake was covered by crunchy milk chocolate pieces around it. These milk chocolate covering were too sweet that we felt it was impossible to finish it. I think they should balance the sugar levels in these desserts. More dark chocolate options would be a welcome option to their offering. Click below to see the pictures in full screen view:
