Have you ever eaten at EETEN? A sweet spot in Dubai Marina Mall where you find a hearty meal and a good selection of coffee. It’s an open cafe in a corner of the mall, surely the restaurant is nature inspired as they’ve fit in plants all around the restaurant. A stylish and quiet cafe with comfortable seating, electronic menu, cozy seating arrangements where social distancing is taken care with glass panels separating each table.
We started off with their amazing hot and cold drinks. We began with their unique offering called the cereal killer latte. A unique coffee which had the best of both worlds, a good coffee and at the same time you enjoy those cornflakes on top. It was the first time having cornflakes with coffee, instead of milk, the crazy combination tasted wonderful. Loved every sip and I think we really need to appreciate the quality coffee served at EETEN. The chocolate peanut milkshake is a must try if you love shakes. A rich and luscious milk shake. The buffalo chicken tortilla chips was fun eating and highly addictive. It just finished in seconds.
There’s one main item that you must try which is the Tenderloin with herb butter sauce. What a meat it was! succulent and delicious. The steak was juicy and soft in the mouth. Although we had multiple options for the sauce, I thought the herb butter sauce was a good choice as they made the steak tasting even better. You also have choice of 2 sides from salad, soup or fries. We went for their pumpkin soup which was a little too sweet. The deep fried chicken burger was straight forward, it didn’t feel greasy but at the same time you wanted the burger to be more juicy. Probably they could have added more interesting sauces inside it, as overall the burger felt dry. The fries that came along was ample and great side to the burger. The shredded Brisket sandwich was too good, I just loved everything about this sandwich. It’s that cheese and sweet brisket that does the magic. A sandwich that can never disappoint. This is a must try sandwich here.
For desserts we had their signature French toast. The toast and the ice cream on top was the winning combo. If you look at it carefully, there isn’t much on the french toast except for the ice cream but really, it’s the filling inside the toast that makes it a good one and of course you have those little bit of strawberry sauce floating on the plate. You can eat the toast just by itself, it’s pretty good. The Affogato was a sheer delight which is a combination of softie ice cream and hot espresso. The ice cream flavour is coffee too which I thought was an over kill of the same flavour, it probably would have been a better contrast if it was a vanilla softie. The good part you get a good portion of softie to enjoy.
