It was our second visit to CMP at the Point, Palm Jumeirah and this time our focus were on their burgers, the real American thing! Our second visit was a different experience altogether, this time we were sitting downstairs away from the Jazz and music upstairs. The ambience was warm and nice for a good intimate dinner. CMP has been awarded as a favourite American restaurant and all of it made sense as we had our dinner tonight at CMP with great service and outstanding food.
We started with their signature Mocktails. We ordered two different looking mocktails, both were presented in different glasses, they tasted and looked very different from each other. My favourite would be the Orange Passion Fruit Daiquiri for it’s sweetness. The berries and soda made the other drink a little tangy, one of the challenges with the Red Berry Smash would be the berries chocking the straw and blocking the flow of the juice. Either ways you could enjoy both drinks with their own energy. Mac and Cheese was a joy for the kids which came with plenty of cheese. Although you find Mac & Cheese as a side, it surely can get your stomach full in no time.
The burgers just stole the show for the night, especially the Korean Kimchi Burger. It was the biggest burger from the lot and quite difficult to fit in the mouth. All those different layers on the kimchi burger made it an interesting one. The fried chicken burger was the second best for it’s sauces which was the juiciest out of the lot and the fried chicken never tasted so good! The meatpackers burger was the classic, it can’t go wrong and what is to be appreciated is the premium patty of wagyu which made eating the meat so easy and delicious.
