We had our weekend breakfast special at the Lobby Lounge, Al Habtoor City Dubai. A lounge located at the lobby of a premium hotel but with a private spacing for diners who are invited at the Lounge by their good looking coffee, irresistible croissants, cookies and pastries. The breakfast menu we tried was scrumptious which is available from 07:00am everyday. The Lobby Lounge serves from early morning 07:00am till midnight 12:00am. Below is a breakdown of their menu timing:
Breakfast: 7 am – 11 am
All Day Menu: 11 am – 11 pm
Beverages: 7 am – 12 am
As expected it’s a beautiful lounge. Spacious and airy and it’s no surprise as the lounge is located at a prime space of the luxury hotel. Plenty of seats for small diners and groups. The ambience in the morning was quiet and homely. The attendants are well dressed like Emirates Cabin Crew and they took good care of us. Attentive, polite and a service with a smile. You are greeted at the lobby lounge by their ever tempting giant croissants, pastries and cookies. We definitely had to start with them and a good cup of coffee which came with a beautiful latte art on it. Those cookies we started off were simply irresistible which were soft and buttery. The hot coffee came with a tiny cookie piece on the side but once you have one of these, you will automatically start staring at the giant cookie sold separately at the counter. We wanted more of them!
From the drinks sections, we definitely enjoyed their hot coffee. It was a flat white, well made and it also comes with a complimentary homemade mini sized cookie which was delicious. I thought the cold coffee could have been better as you really didn’t feel much coffee in it but rather milk and sweetness mainly. No accompaniments comes with the cold coffee as compared to the hot coffee. The Acai kick was dominated by the banana mixed in it but it was very refreshing. They have many more healthier options from their drinks menu, surely you can find something that can interest your morning. The croissants are to try here especially the chocolate almond or the almond croissant. You can appreciate the quality of the freshly made croissant and good size too that fills up your hand. The chocolate croissant has a hazelnut chocolate in it.
It was a brilliant morning surrounded by well made eggs Benedict(salmon version), giant Brioche French Toast and a huge stack of pancakes. We loved the salmon in the eggs Benedict, instead of the classic bacon. It tasted great and was the perfect savoury for the morning. The French toast and stacked pancakes were too good for the sweet tooth. That whipped cream on top was of amazing quality. They also give you maple syrup and berry compote on the side which you pour on them and just jump in right away. The syrup, the compote and the freshly whipped cream all just made these American sweet breakfast look and taste amazing. If you’ve got a sweet tooth then this is a must order. Glad to visit the lobby lounge.
