Hafiz Mustafa isn’t just another dessert shop — it’s a Turkish institution. Since 1864, they’ve been crafting sweets that tell a story, and their baklava is the crown jewel. Flaky, golden layers of phyllo pastry, buttery and crisp, generously filled with pistachios or walnuts, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup. It’s sweet, yes, but never cloying. You taste ingredients, not just sugar. Signature offerings at Hafiz Mustafa would be from rich pistachio and walnut baklavas, Turkish delights, puddings and cakes. The Turkish Baklavas found at Hafiz Mustafa are of the gold standards and this was the one shop were we thoroughly enjoyed walnut baklavas, infact even more than pistachio. Until then we used to try avoiding the walnut baklavas because we never found the right one. They have plenty of thick layered creamy cake and we tried the baklava cake which had a thick creamy pistachio paste on the inside. You definitely need more hands to finish this cake. Believe it or not, they also had pudding made from chicken breast. It was quite a surprise to know there was a non-veg pudding. It was a light touch of sweetness and shredded chicken inside a thickened rice milk pudding. A unique combo. The dubai chocolate pudding is a must try. That was an impressive chocolate pudding. Simply irresistible!

We ended with a Turkish tea. The tea cleanses the palate. If you’ve never tried authentic Turkish baklava before, let this be your introduction. And if you have — Hafiz Mustafa in Dubai will remind you just how heavenly it can be when done right. With each bite, you can taste the care, heritage, and expertise that’s been passed down for over 160 years. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view.
