Our lunch started off with a refreshing trio of salads that balanced the rich seafood courses to come. My favourite would be the Thai Papaya salad which was light, crunchy, and bursting with that perfect Thai balance of sweet, sour, and spiciness. From the moment Tom Yum Soup arrived, the scent was irresistible. The lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and chili hit you first, followed by that deep, savory seafood aroma. The broth had a perfect balance of spicy, sour, and slightly sweet notes, which is exactly what a great Tom Yum should deliver. It delivered a welcome kick that woke up the palate which was a great way to start the meal. But let me give you a tip here. Just opt for the mild spicy soup and not the spicy version which definitely is a spice on another level that you might not be able to handle.

The Fish Market offers a seafood dining experience that starts strong right from the starters. It is a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts. With its fresh offerings, interactive dining concept, and stunning views, it promises a culinary experience that is both satisfying and memorable. A seafood spread that included crabs, fried calamari, baked cheese mussels, prawns in garlic butter, and grilled prawns. Each dish brought something different to the table and showcased the restaurant’s commitment to freshness and flavor.

The crabs were the highlight from the starters. They were juicy, sweet, and perfectly cooked. The meat was tender on the inside and easy to extract using the tools provided, signaling quality and expert preparation. Whether you like it slightly spicy or buttery, the chef’s flexibility in preparation made this dish a standout. And who can resist a fried Calamari. Crispy and golden on the outside with a tender interior, the calamari struck a great balance by being not greasy and seasoned just right. It was served with a dipping sauce that complemented the mild flavor of the squid beautifully. A solid, crowd-pleasing starter.

The baked cheese mussels was a decadent option for those who like rich, creamy textures. These mussels were bathed in a cheesy topping. The natural brininess of the mussels was enhanced by the savory, creamy cheese which was indulgent. The sweet and sour variation is definitely worth trying. It brings a tangy twist to the table. Mussels with the sweet and sour sauce added a dynamic punch to the plump and fresh mussels. The sauce pooled beautifully at the bottom of the bowl, perfect for soaking them up.

The grilled prawns were simple, clean and well executed. Grilled just enough to achieve that slight char without drying out the meat, these prawns showcased their natural sweetness and freshness. It came paired with a wedge of lemon. The Succulent prawns that came drenched in garlic butter sauce felt light in flavour as opposed to all others on the table. The starters alone could be a full meal for seafood lovers, and each one delivered both in terms of taste and presentation. If you’re planning to dine here, don’t be afraid to mix and match your favorite cooking styles and sauces.

The fried pomfret fish was crisp, crackling finish while the inside remains moist and flaky. The seasoning strikes a great balance being aromatic, slightly tangy, and just the right amount of heat. Served hot with a wedge of lime. The Tilapia butterfly grilled fish was all about good looks. The tilapia is butterflied, cut open and flattened. slightly crispy exterior while the flesh remains juicy and tender. The marinade has notes of garlic, citrus, and herbs, with a subtle spice that complements rather than overwhelms the natural flavor of the fish. It’s rustic, hearty, and pairs excellently with a side of rice. The Jesh fish was a standout from the trio. The Jesh fish less commonly found on many menus was given a star treatment with a unique in-house made marinade. The flavor is rich, layered, and deeply infused into the flesh of the fish. Dining at Fish Market is not just about the food, it’s about the journey from sea to table, all within an elegant but approachable setting. It’s ideal for seafood lovers who appreciate freshness, flavor variety, and a bit of culinary customization.

After a delightful main course, I was looking forward to ending the meal on a sweet note. Unfortunately, the desserts didn’t live up to the standard set by the rest of the dining experience. We expected a more refined and enjoyable dessert offering but desserts here couldn’t compliment the excellent seafood. I hope the restaurant will consider revisiting their dessert menu to offer choices that complement the lovely seafood and leave guests with a more satisfying end to their meal.
