Inside Yalumba’s Aussie Barbie Brunch
Yalumba’s new Aussie Barbie Brunch might just be Dubai’s most inviting weekend ritual yet. From the moment you step in, the vibe is more laid-back backyard BBQ than formal hotel affair. Live music sets a playful tone and entertainment keeps the energy bubbling from start to finish. This is the brunch that invites you to stay, sip and genuinely enjoy the afternoon. Kids and adults alike will find something to smile about, thanks to light-hearted games(Jenga tumbling tower game, badminton, cricket, boxing) and interactive elements that add to the experience. There’s a casual energy that feels almost like being at a friend’s backyard party.

The Grill
The Aussie Barbie Brunch puts the spotlight on live grill stations and hearty, flavour-packed dishes inspired by Australian barbecue culture. Food lovers will appreciate the star attraction: live-grilled cuts and BBQ style specialties where you pick your own fresh fish or meat. Premium grilled meats with a smoky char and even a few adventurous outback-inspired bites. They also have dedicated stations such as the Pie station, Shawarma station, Donut station, Grill station and for the indoors you have the cold cuts, salads, Breads, croissants, all that cheese and desserts were on a different league all together. It was our first time getting an opportunity to try an Ostrich Shawarma! I’ve never seen that before.

The Buffet
Inside the restaurant you find some outstanding dishes, curries, breads and they even have different kinds of croissants which were simply outstanding. I still remember my first bite onto that chocolate croissant and how the inside was stuffed with thick chocolate ganache. They had the best of cheese for you to try. Pasta here is a must try, which was served in a cheese bowl. You would also find satays, different kinds of pizza, which was a hot seller. Plenty of seafood such as the oysters, prawns. From the curry list, the beef rendang was my absolute favourite.

Desserts
You won’t be able to ignore the desserts. The pavlova station was a wonder of its own, letting you build your own sweet masterpiece, while the cake and pie selections add a playful, nostalgic Australian finish to the meal. You had a variety of cheesecakes. What really makes this brunch shine is the atmosphere. It’s upbeat without being overwhelming, making it ideal for families, groups of friends, or even a laid back celebration. Add in lively music and flowing drinks, and you’ve got the recipe for a long, leisurely afternoon. It’s casual, flavourful and full of personality, making it a standout choice if you’re looking for something different from Dubai’s usual brunch scene. Click here to visit the official website.
