Now here’s a spot for those crazy REAL MADRID fans to bond with the brand at this newly open REAL MADRID cafe. The experience is a little more than eating as it’s coupled with watching football, playing football, buying souvenirs. It’s a dream home for those REAL MADRID fans as this cafe makes them feel at home. They can even find collectors item to buy such as Ronaldo’s autographed shoe which should cost you around Dhs 230,000. There is a match scheduled on December 30th, REAL MADRID VS AC MILAN and I feel very wise when I think about having purchased those tickets way ahead of time before it was sold out. On that behalf players will be visiting this cafe in the evening and so that will be another opportunity for the fans to get a closer glimpse of the players.
This cafe has 2 floors with both of them looking very different. Both floors are equipped with giant screens that telecast LIVE matches. If you go to the top you would first confuse yourself with their flooring as it pretends to be grass. Also this is where you can enjoy some football on the latest SONY PS4 console. As of now they have a gaming competition in progress. Outside is their balcony which has a nice wooden flooring, you have the best views of the beach from here.
I love eating from their balcony. They have a fantastic view facing the sea and with this kind of weather you can easily spend the whole day sitting and watching the view from their balcony. There were plenty of action happening in the sky. During my lunch I witnessed skydiving, fighter jets rehearsing for the national day, parachutes, motor boats etc.
From the drinks:
- Frozen mudslide – blended with vanilla ice cream, chocolate, caramel, peanut butter and shot of espresso.
- Passion fruit Mojito – muddled limes with mint leaf and soda
- Champions – Passion fruit flavour, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, grenadine and fresh lime.
Champions drink looked impressive on paper but it was the Passion fruit mojito that rocked on the table. From the above even though passion fruit mojito seems to have the simplest combination that turned out to be the drink that stood out from the crowd. Very well made, great taste and simply refreshing. The frozen mudslide was also another yummy drink for those who love cold mocha shakes. Thick, heavy and would pump you up as you sip that frozen mudslide 😉
The dippers that came along with the bread was class apart. You would just want eat more of that bread to enjoy those dippers. It was truly high quality dippers that you couldn’t resist.
They’ve got something called the stadium menu. Items that you would prefer to eat while you watch a match. So in here I found the steak skewers, it was well done as requested and they came out nice and juicy. I enjoyed the roasted potatoes that came along with it as well which I normally try to skip. The butter nut squash soup was thick and closer to a pumpkin in taste but was one of those really good soups that you would enjoy. The cebada salad was a bummer on the other hand. I am not a big fan of barley and this one came loaded with barley that I just couldn’t enjoy the salad from any angle 🙁
SEAFOOD PAELLA is one of their local spanish dishes. Although I was satisfied with the seafood in the paella, The paella wasn’t very exciting to me. The portion size for paella was also quite less. The REAL MADRID Pizza kept me very happy and munched them till it was over.
Both desserts we tried were delicious specially the TIRAMISU. If you really want a good piece of original Tiramisu then this should be the place you need to visit. I’ve tried many from different places but nothing like this one. Soft, light and simply irresistible. My only disappointment here was the size of the TIRAMISU, wish they gave a bigger slice of it for the price 🙁 Churros is something they know how to make well. It’s their traditional delight and they wouldn’t go wrong here. Freshly fried, warm, light and dip in that dark chocolate sauce and nothing like it 😉
On the other side of this cafe is the retail shop where you can buy their jersey or anything else associated with REAL MADRID like bags, water bottles, keychains, car air freshers. With prices that can be as low as their car air fresher which is only Dhs 20 and as high as their signature white football jersey which just for the shirt will cost you above Dhs 300. They don’t sell any shoes as yet. They do have collectors item which is produced in limited quantity and you’ll have to shell out a little more than extra to own that unique item.
Hi Rubeen – Nice to see yet another nice place for us to go & enjoy. but I guess this place is more like Sport Bar Exceedingly fun place to watch a game of Football with that huge screen & a stadium like feeling.
Any idea if they also serve hard drinks & shisha
It’s not a sports bar really but yeah a nice place with great views and fresh ambiance. Normally during the real madrid matches, the seats are booked ahead of time. Atleast this was my last experience when I went to watch the match barcelona vs real madrid. Unfortunately they don’t serve sheesha or alcohol.
[…] above(Paella Mixta). This is the best Paella I’ve had so far. Last time I tried Paella from Real Madrid Cafe which was really not up to the mark. I am definitely coming back to this restaurant to have more […]
[…] finish it. Tiramisu was ok as I’ve had better ones from their neighboring restaurants like REAL MADRID Cafe itself. The one you get here is a common tiramisu you find at most places but not extraordinary. […]
