Nando’s has started expanding! This is their latest restaurant open in Deira City Centre next to VOX cinemas. Nice to have more of Nando’s around me. I am a chicken lover and most of us agree that Nando’s makes the best out of the chicken.
The Interiors looks very nice specially their lights which is an eye catcher, inspired by its Afro-Portuguese theme. Beautiful artworks on the wall represented by South African artists. This restaurant also features an open kitchen so you can peep into see how is your meal getting ready.
If you are ordering a designer drink just go for their signature designer drink Madeira red(the red drink in the middle) which is a sweet fizzy pomegranate lemonade made with sprite and finished with a delicious sugary rim. It’s the best out of the lot. The red pepper dip is one of the must have appetizers at Nando’s. Spicy and lip smacking good. Its a new item introduced in their recently launched menu which surely is a run a way success.
From their maincourse, I was impressed with the Cataplana. Pretty good I must say, enjoyed it more than Espetada this time. The spicy rice is soggy in cataplana sauce, mixed with vegetables and mouth watering tender grilled chicken thighs. The Cataplana comes elegantly covered in a copper dish too. The surprise candidate was the Steak Burger. If you think Nando’s only specialize in chicken then it’s different now at Nando’s. They added more veg items and now I even see beef in their menu. The steak burger was a clear winner. The burger was juicy not just by the steak but I think it was about everything in the burger. It was loads of tomatoes and onions mixed with their special sauce and steak that makes this burger juicy to fill your mouth with enormous burst of flavour. I just loved it.
The chocolate peanut butter stack has always been my favourite at Nando’s. It’s an irresistible choice for me. The salted caramel cheese cake was smooth as silk and was a melt in the mouth. The carrot cake was ordinary but would eat it for the cream cheese icing. Click here to visit Nando’s web page. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view:
Great to know that Nandos have opened in Deira City centre. Me and my daughter love the chicken dishes there too. Unfortunately their new menu does not have the aubergine sandwich which my husband was a big fan of. The last time we visited i saw someone order the red drink and really wanted to know what that was….now that i know its good can try it 🙂
Unfortunate that your husband’s favourite is out of their menu. Well, they’ve added many more in their new menu so I am sure he will soon find a new favourite at Nando’s. 🙂 Enjoy the red designer drink by the way 😉
