Here’s a restaurant from the world’s tallest hotel JW Marriott Marquis, a young and trendy restaurant called Garden. This restaurant serves Peruvian cuisine. When I first heard Peruvian I wasn’t sure if I will be able to enjoy it but I am so glad I made it cause the food here has been outstanding with a cozy atmosphere good enough to spend time with friends and family. If you like traditional Peruvian cuisine then this restaurant should definitely be on your cards.
Living in a metropolitan city, the Garden tries to take you away from the city by filling in their interiors with plants, art and colors around you. The lighting is beautiful. We were here for dinner, the lighting was more on the dimmer side hence I did struggle taking clear pictures for you. They also had different seating arrangements whether it was casual or serious dining. There was also a silent waterfall in the center of the restaurant. They had an interesting space arranged at the entrance to match the theme of the Garden restaurant where you could pose for photos as if you were in a park.
The Mocktails here were very good. It never tasted artificial, you can feel the punch effect from these drinks. The quinoa salad was one of the best I’ve ever heard. It was a bowl full of delicious content. I thought only health conscious people could enjoy it but that was not the case here with this salad. The star of the day for me was Zucchini and Mushroom Tiradito(a veg special). Unfortunately it came very little and it was the best among the lot.
The hot plates where perfect for a cold night. The white crispy fish came crunchy and ever so good with the salsa sauce. I couldn’t just stop myself for emptying the plate, an irresistible item I should say. The tenderloin as expected was tender and juicy. The antichuchera sauce made it even better. The potatoes that came accompanied was equally good. I really appreciate how this restaurant has mastered each item so well that it hasn’t been one level disappointing so far.
The creamy chicken breasts was different from all those chicken dishes I’ve been eating all around Dubai. Chicken breast pieces covered in a thick paste made from yellow chili peppers. Easy to eat, filling and ofcourse you enjoy it too. The one mistake I made for mains I ordered the stir fried beef. I probably should have tried something else as I felt the beef pieces in this one was similar to the beef tenderloin pieces we ate above but with a different marination. Probably should have tried something else like their TOOTHFISH EXCABECHADO. But it didn’t really matter as their food was fantastic.
Their desserts were also different from the usual. The Tres Leches is one of their signature desserts. The soft cake comes soaked in 3 different version of milk(condensed, evaporated, fresh). The moist cake was heavenly, thanks to the milk. I felt the cake could have been softer by itself. Maybe they need to adjust some baking time for it. Semifredo sphere is not for everyone. It’s a little bit sweet and sour. If you love sorbets then you should love this. To know more about this wonderful restaurant Garden, please click here.
