Here’s a family friendly brunch for a Saturday. The name of the brunch is quite catchy and definitely will catch the attention of Pirates of the Caribbean movie fans. Kids are going to love it with entertainment such as the bouncy castle, magic tricks by the host, other activities such as pancake decorating. The restaurant also awards the best costume matching the theme of the brunch. The good part kids are busy, they have their own corner for food as well as entertainment so we adults get to enjoy our brunch with some peace and harmony. The brunch details:
- Brunch timing: Every Saturday from 12.30pm to 3.30pm
- Brunch Pricing for Adults (12 years and above): AED 325 per person including soft beverages
- Brunch pricing for kids: (6 – 11 years): Enjoy 50% off dining
Mazina is a spacious restaurant at the Address Dubai Marina. The brunch buffet for adults and kids are strategically separated in two sides of the restaurant. One side of the restaurant is quite and easy going brunch whereas the other side of the restaurant is all about kids, their brunch and entertainment. Around the restaurant walls you find stickers, posters and the waiters all dressed as Pirates or Mermaids as expected to match the theme of the Brunch.
Kids are going to love their space. Colorful and entertaining, thanks to their host who entertained them for hours with humour and magic tricks which infact was even entertaining for the adults. Kids have all their favourites stacked up such as pizza, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches shaped to match the theme of the brunch. Popcorns, colorful plates and drinks just makes the brunch exciting for them. Kids ended their brunch with pancake decoration with key chef explaining them how to decorate their own pancakes and handing over them the icing pack. Close to the end they have the option to watch cartoons or continue bouncing inside the bouncy castle.
During this time we silently move to the other corner of the brunch, leaving the kids with the host. As expected they have a stretch of a menu for their saturday brunch. Plenty of green salad, different kinds of breads. All that cheese especially Italian ones are not to be missed. You also have lot of options for dressing the salads.
They had plenty of selection for seafood. You can have them cold or have them grilled. The restaurant was very much flexible in serving the way you wanted them.
The Asian station was one of my favourites. From sushis to Dimsums, Live station such as Mongolian style cooking and the fresh making of Chinese chicken soup was interesting to see, never had such a heavy soup. The Asian booth was impressive with LIVE cooking, the dishes at the Asian counter was top notch. It was interesting to see how the chef would marinate the satay, grilled skewers meat. You could find meat from chicken, beef and lamb. There was also an Indian corner where you can find signature hot kebabs, rotis, wraps, curry and biriyani.
Arabic corner is purely for the meat lovers. You would find most of the hot appetizers in here. Some of those teasers at the Arabic station would be whole lamb, ribs, mixed grilled meat, plenty of hot starters such as the chicken wings, cheese balls, potato fries etc. They had a Spanish specialty Paella. Grilled meats and plenty of sauces to mix and match.
For mains English specialties was also a highlight. You don’t want to miss the Yorkshire pudding and roast lamb from here. The puff pastry of the Yorkshire pudding was really nice. There were fresh beef patties which will be grilled and made as per your liking. I thought the burgers were not as attractive as their other dishes in the buffet.
Finally you end your brunch with a grand selection of desserts. They have wide range of pastry selection. Baked yoghurt pudding and chocolate pave would be my recommendation from this section. The chocolate desserts were rich and mesmerizing in taste. They also had a chocolate fountain, interestingly this was not found at the kids section. Hot desserts such as the Date pudding also was available but the real attraction has been their pastries.
Ofcourse kids had their own selection of desserts for their brunch. Just the kind they like with chocolate, springles, sticks and color. At the end, the best dressed kid for the theme takes the winners prize.
