During the holy month of Ramadan, the city as usual is dazzling with Iftar buffets. Here’s one Iftar buffet that you don’t want to miss because the 4 star hotel is giving you a free stay when you buy their Iftar buffet for just AED 145. I haven’t seen a better deal than this one this year. The Iftar buffet is worth the money considering the free stay. It’s a new hotel and so everything felt neat and clean and we just loved everything about the package. The suhour was reasonably priced for AED 35 where the food was brought to our room. We checked-in to our free stay in the afternoon and our first impression as soon as we stepped into the room was ‘WOW’. Everything felt brand new in the room and the dining table easily caught our attention in the living room which had a giant chandelier on top which was the center attraction of the living room. The sofa was pretty big, could be used as a bed too. The room was definitely spacious and while we peep out of the window we find the ships and boats cruising across the Deira Sea. All this coming with a free stay was simply a steal deal.

I got to say the two televisions provided in the suite did make a difference. Kids in one room watching their programs while we in the other room watching our program. The sofa in the living room was to be appreciated for its size. Long, wide and you could even sleep on it. The high curved leaning lamp gave a nice touch of elegance to the interior. Electrical switches were impressive for it’s matte finish and king size buttons, the vent controls were graphical and touch control. The living room TV felt a bit small compared to the size of the room. The toilets were luxurious and fitted with all that you need includes toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, hair dryer among others. I also liked that extra bed brought into the room, infact I felt it more comfortable. The hotel have their own Gym with beautiful sea views. You can see the man made island from a distance. The swimming pool provided is on the roof and is temperature controlled.
Our early morning breakfast(Suhour) was brought to our room. It was exciting for everyone as there was lot of variety. Each of us had our own selection of cold Arabic Mezzeh, corn flakes, Cheese, dry fruits, honey, yoghurt and bread basket which came with toasted breads. The honey provided was my favourite for it’s quality, it was so rich and pure. No meats in the breakfast menu though. The attendants were responsive and we got all that we needed on time.
Iftar at Wydham Dubai Deira happens at The Spicery restaurant. The Spicery is the main restaurant that is running the show at Wyndham Dubai Deira. It’s the same restaurant which offers breakfast for their guests. It’s the All day dining restaurant. It’s a nice spacious restaurant where safe distance can be easily maintained between each table. They also have a nice wide balcony for those who love to eat sitting outside.
The Iftar buffet mainly comprised of salads, bread station, hot starters, cold mezzeh, Grills, Mains and desserts. You have plenty of salads and cold mezzeh to eat. There were two hot starters. For Grills you had the meat and chicken skewers. Kids will love their pasta. The mains wasn’t a big spread but whatever offered was good enough to enjoy. You have also had 2 kinds of arabic drinks. Unfortunately there wasn’t any hot drinks included in the Iftar buffet, you could always order a hot drink for extra cost such as the karak chai which is sold at AED 8 separately.
Let’s not forget the desserts. The mixed fruit cake was a combination of cream, vanilla cake and fruit which had a pleasant taste. The arabic desserts such as the cheese kunafa and umm ali was the real star. The baklawas wasn’t as great as their good looks and depending on your luck you should find other items such as tarts and cakes. Click here to visit their official website.
