The LX 570, is the biggest SUV offering from Lexus. It surely is one of the most comfortable and reliable SUV out there. One of the vehicles you can be confident when you take into the desert and the vehicle designed to drive around the sand dunes like a breeze. The exterior design is masculine and aggressive in nature, whereas on the inside you can’t ask for anything more comfortable and spacious. The funny part while you adore the exterior design of the vehicle in 2021, the inside feels outdated when it comes to technology. Somehow you feel Lexus has completely forgotten to update the interior of LX for many years now. The Lexus LX 570 starts at a price of AED 420,000 and the black edition which you see in pictures is priced at AED 540,000.

Interior
The moment you step into the car you are like wow, look at that space! The seats are wide and ventilated. It’s a special diamond stitched dark rose leather seats which comes as part of the special black edition. Comfort is the key word when talking LX 570. The glossy wooden finish on the sides and on the panels is thick and feels quality but too familiar for Lexus fans as there hasn’t been a significant design update to the interior since many years now. You have a great sight of the road as if you were seating on top of a camel which is a delight to the front seat passengers.
Center Display
There is a main color screen in the center. Unfortunately, the 12.3″ inch color display isn’t a touch interface. There is a mouse provided in the center for the driver to maneuver through the interface. Honestly, the entire remote touch interface feels a little cumbersome using it. The current navigation interface would have been accepted 10 years ago but I doubt anymore. There is a convenient wireless charging spot available under the dashboard and the phone nicely fits into the charging cradle. You also have dedicated buttons for radio and air vents which makes it quick and convenient to use. There is a coolbox under the drivers armrest(good enough to store atleast 6 bottles).
Driving Dynamics
The LX 570 is more comfortable than sporty. It’s a heavy masculine SUV that can climb anywhere but comfort is the mantra of the car. So although the vehicle has a sport mode, there’s not much of sportiness you feel in the drive. The steering wheel is a bit of an effort, it does feel a little stiff while you try to maneuver the vehicle in the city. Love the wide arm rest and the wooden finish on the steering wheel which is a nice hold. You really appreciate the LX 570 when you go off-road as you have ton of controls right at your finger tips such as crawl control(automatically maintain an optimal slow and steady pace over challenging terrain), multi-terrain selection(enhance the driverâs control over challenging, varied landscapes), the system offers the ability to adjust the amount of traction and response by choosing from five different types of terrain (Rock, Rock & Dirt, Mogul, Loose Rock, or Mud & Sand), adjusting height of suspension, hill start assist control(helps maintain the vehicleâs position by automatically applying the brakes to all four wheels until the vehicle begins moving forward) etc. which is the real perk of owning this vehicle as you can’t get more confident than in a vehicle like the LX 570.
Rear Seats
The rear seat passengers are equally thrilled sitting behind as they have all the controls they need to be happy. Both the driver, the rear and front passenger have their dedicated buttons for vent controls including seat ventilation. When the rear arm rest is unfolded you will find dedicated cup holders, vent controls and a remote control for media control for the 11.6″ inch entertainment screen. It’s one remote for both screen, so there is a switch which helps you transfer the control focus from one screen to the other. A wireless remote, wireless headphones are also provided with the vehicle. The remote is not chargeable, you will need to store spare AA batteries. This is where again you feel the technology needs updating, introducing a touch screen alone would simplify the experience in a big way. Adjusting third row seats was a piece of cake, you can lift and fold them electronically with a press of a button. This is where you really enjoy the vehicle, LX really excels in these areas of convenience. A perfect companion for an off-road journey.
