The Cadillac Escalade is one of the finest SUVs that one can enjoy and a proud symbol of American luxury. There’s been a full redesign of the interior and exterior. One of the striking feature of the exterior would be the LED headlamps and tail lamps. Each light blade also has the cadillac crest molded into it. The rear tall LED light blades particularly stand out for it’s sheer size of the panels. Standard feature exist such as illuminating the vehicle when the driver approaches the vehicle, Cadillac logo is also projected to the floor during the entry exit from the vehicle. There is also a horizontal led light strip along the foot step. The front black sport grille of the vehicle makes a bold statement of it own which is available as part of the sports package.

Technology Highlights

INDUSTRY-FIRST CURVED OLED WITH 38″ OF TOTAL DIAGONAL DISPLAY

The 38″ diagonal sleek display would be one of the first thing you notice when you enter the front seats of the new Escalade. Although they call it 38″ wide, the OLED screen is split into different sections. Nevertheless the sleek OLED stands up to the hype with its colorful crisp display and the curved LED adds a nice look to the dashboard.

AUGMENTED REALITY-ENABLED Navigation

This one’s like looking at the street through a camera lens which is projected on the front cluster display. The benefit of this technology is when you navigate inside the city it would guide you with street name, distance, directions etc. I noticed this feature only works with their own builtin maps, I don’t think it integrates with google maps or apply pay.

NIGHT VISION SYSTEM

This features works only in the night when it’s dark. The thermal heat image technology can detect anything passing by and would highlight if any pedestrians detected which makes it very handy in poor lighting situation.

FULL-COLOR HEAD-UP DISPLAY

Besides the instrument cluster, key information details such as speed, navigation, phone and music detail is projected onto the windshield as well.

CONVERSATION ENHANCEMENT

This was a new feature which was impressive and handy. Basically it’s an easier way to communicate to far away passengers. Cadillac Escalade being a long vehicle, it might not be that easy to converse with 3rd row seaters but now with Conversation Enhancement a microphone array in the first row picks up first-row voices and projects them to the rear, via the second- and third-row speakers.

AIR RIDE ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION

Escalade’s available Air Ride Adaptive Suspension provides improved and refined ride and handling during a variety of driving situations, from low-speed off-road maneuvering to highway cruising. The system’s electronically controlled air compressor is connected to all four air springs, giving the ability to change vehicle ride height a total of almost 4″ from its lowest to highest setting.

Parking the Escalade is a breeze with the help of four different cameras— an HD Rear Vision Camera, forward looking camera and two side-looking cameras to display a digital overhead image of the area around the vehicle. You can also select additional views on your camera display. It works at low speeds, helping you park and avoid nearby objects. It can also detect the rear and front pedestrian crossing the vehicle and can nudges the driver with a haptic feedback. A hard emergency brake assist is also possible which works at speeds below 50mph.

It’s a passenger delight inside the Escalade. Besides comfortable and flexible plush seats, there is an ULTRAVIEW SUNROOF(wide and long), providing the passengers with a lovely view from their seats. Entertainment by having their own dedicated screens as well as wireless headphones. Necessary connectivity ports which includes USB-C, USB-A as well as HDMI.
