The new Al Hamra Street restaurant is located at Al Hessa street Dubai, which takes us to the famous street of Lebanon known by the street name Al Hamra, where you find a collection of street food eateries specialized in shawarmas, Juice, coffee, grills, sandwiches etc. All those wonderful dishes you find on that street is all now available in this one restaurant. This is the idea and the concept of the restaurant to provide diners an authentic Lebanese menu which you would find on the streets of Lebanon. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed and will only want to come back for more because whatever that we ate today was simply of great quality and taste.

The restaurant provides free valet parking, otherwise you have a stretch of paid parking slots available in front of the restaurant. The interior is colorful with street art on the walls with famous Lebanese artists, bringing the vibe and culture into the ambience of the restaurant. You also find classic collection of retro products such as the radio, kettle, sewing machine, music player etc. The restaurant is new, so they pay good attention to your table and make sure you are well taken care. The service has been truly impeccable during our time at the restaurant. The juice corner has been the most fascinating corner for me where the bartender is busy making colorful mocktails and desserts. We were actually seated next to the juice corner and I can easily stare at their beautiful juice corner all day of them making these colorful fresh juices and desserts.

We started off with their fascinating drinks. I didn’t realize I was getting a dessert when I ordered from their mocktails section. The Lebanese fruit cocktail was heavily loaded with cut fruits, layered fruit puree and a thick layer of ashta(arabic cream). The ashta by itself felt very pure, it wasn’t sweet but everything around it was sweet which made it an amazing combination for the fruit cocktail. I think one can have this mocktail as a main or needs to be shared to finish it. A very hearty portion of fruit cocktail. Next came the Avocado shake. This one came with no straws as well. It seems that we can’t have them with the straw as the shake by itself was so thick then you need a spoon. The avocado felt so pure, I never tasted an Avocado so rich in a shake. This one had a double layer of ashta (on top and bottom) which sandwiched the thick avocado shake in between. One of the best avocado shakes I’ve had. A very different experience and you can truly appreciate the quality of these avocados as well.

Lamb & Vine leaves Fakharra – AED 49 – oven baked stuffed vine leave with lamb cutlets served with yoghurt
kibbeh sajeye – AED 20 – Grilled kebbeh stuffed with minced lamb, nuts & pomegranate seeds

We started of with their special hummus which was a spicy version but a good one, the color, texture everything made it a different hummus from the classic which you find everywhere else. Surprisingly even though they had a bakery we didn’t get freshly made hot breads with the hummus but just regular packet bread. The vine leaves was unique which came with meat in it along with a lamb chop on top. The vines leaves were soaked in it’s stock and it also comes with its dippers. It’s a must try item for vine leave lovers as it was delicious and different in taste. The grilled kibbeh was just amazing and truly everyone on the table was relishing every bite of it. It’s a must try item here.

Shawarma Mixed platter – AED 41 – Chicken & Beef

For the mains we had their mixed grill and shawarma mixed grill platter. Both these plates were outstanding in taste. Especially the quality of the meats. Be it Chicken, beef or lamb you could appreciate how juicy and tender it was. The shawarma was just flavourful and I can easily say they make one of the best shawarmas in Dubai. It’s kind of difficult to choose between the chicken and beef shawarma as both of them have been really good here.

Kunafa in kaek – AED 27
Kunafa in kaek bread – AED 27
Ashta bel ashta – AED 32 – ashta ice cream, strawberry & fresh ashta topped with cotton candy and drizzle of honey and caramel sauce

We had the kunafa in kaek. It was a cheese kunafa wrapped in special lebanese bread. It was a good quality cheese kunafa and the hot cheese would simply stretch well from the plate. The real star would be the Ashta dessert which was a combination of Arabic cream, ice cream, cotton candy, drizzled with honey and caramel sauce. It was just an unbelievable combination and stood out like a star on the table. The dessert simply scores an A+ and is a must ending at this restaurant. Click here to visit their official website.
