The HOMER LOBSTER is a home for those who love Brioche. We were entirely satisfied with our craving for a quality brioche sandwich/roll. HOMER LOBSTER is actually famous for their award winning celebrity favourite lobster roll, but honestly they’ve got a lot more than just a lobster to entice you. Infact I was in love with some of their other items in their menu such as the shrimps and salmon. Every sandwich you pick comes in a premium brioche bread which actually is the key here and then comes the variety of filling such as lobster, tuna melt, grilled cheese, Pastrami salmon along with a selection of unique homemade sauces such as the Miso-Yuzu, classic, Amarillo, connecticut which ups your brioche roll to the next level.
HOMER LOBSTER is located at DIFC and it was a lovely atmosphere eating in the balcony of DIFC. It’s a stretch of restaurants found at the location. The unique seats at Homer Lobster are pretty and comfy with vibrant colors such as orange and dark blue. We enjoyed sitting outside between plants in a cozy casual seating arrangement. You would at times find birds walking close to your tables. You can also purchase souvenir from Homer Lobster which includes t-shirts, jute bags, cap, apron, bottles etc. Â The menu is straight forward but the attendant was kind enough to run us through the entire menu. Pick your roll and pick your sauce, it’s actually as simple as that. They have also make homemade lemonade which was more sour to me but I was quite content with the bottled fresh juices from France especially the Apple Juice. The shape of these bottles were pretty cool too. We started of our lunch with their chips. These are actually imported chips from France. A typical packet chips which comes in 2 flavours, plain and with truffle.
Love the way the Brioche rolls come in their sleeve. They nicely sit in and makes it very convenient to be eating in them. The first time you hold that brioche roll in your hand, you feel like your holding something special and you just can’t wait to take your first bite. I love the rolls more than the sandwiches for their thick size of the brioche. Irrespective of which sandwich you order, the brioche is all the same. On the first bite you realize the sauces. My personal favourite would be the shrimp roll, it was heavily loaded that shrimps would just fall of the roll, the sauce used in it was just mesmerizing. The salmon pastrami was also another exciting sandwich on the table for it’s amazing flavour. In the Grilled cheese crab sandwich what stood out would be the American Cheese in it, the cheese was really good and almost outshone the crab in it. The grilled cheese crab sandwich was also the only sandwich that came with a piece of picked cucumber. The Tuna melt cheese was a typical loaded tuna melt sandwich.
The desserts were also inside a brioche. The nutella was straight forward but that’s nutella at it’s best when you eat it in a quality brioche. What I really couldn’t resist was the peanut butter and Jam brioche. That combination was too good and very addictive. Highly recommend brioche fans to visit this restaurant at DIFC.
