Pacific Groove, a restaurant that serves high quality steaks to grilled sea food along with tantalising appetizers & desserts. They have a lounge too, a perfect place for a hang over or a catch up with friends and company. We’ve tried a little about everything from their menu and I can assure you it’s a high end experience when it comes to quality and the ingredients in play. Our order was just the usual suspects but they were just so good in here.
The hotel by itself is elegant. You are dazzled by the mighty crystal chandeliers that you see on your way to the restaurant. You find all kinds of tables at the restaurant from standing, stools, bucket seats, leather chairs. An open kitchen where you often see fire being tossed up and beautiful dishes getting ready on a plate. The atmosphere was quiet in the beginning but as we reached to the end of our dinner it was getting louder with laughter and fun on the tables around us as the crowd grew. The menu is shown on an ipad and each dish have their pictures, so that makes it much easier to know what to expect. Catch of the day from the Fish section is freshly grilled as you order.
They had 2 signature mocktails on their menu. So we picked one of each and one was more on the sweeter side and the other was tangy. Both drinks had their own magic in every sip. The soups were just unbelievably good. The seafood soup was what I enjoyed more, the corn soup was thick and more on the sweeter side. The surprise hit was the salad. The Kale and apple salad was simply alluring. It was really good and surely everyone wanted it. Chicken Empanada with Chimichurri was simply yummy but the addictive one was the fried calamari. You definitely couldn’t just stop with one or two.
The mains were on the next level especially the BBQ Smoked veal ribs. The meat was just so tender that it would just easily come up of it’s bone. The bones were quite big in size and honestly I felt there was more bone than meat but it’s one of the best Veal ribs you can experience. It definitely get’s an A+. The fish on the other side was all about it’s marination. The sea bream is a typical sea bream on the inside but it’s the orange marination that give it’s that unique taste which went very well. On the sides you get many options to pick and we had the fries and mashed potatoes. The mash potatoes were really nice by the way.
They do have some fascinating desserts on their menu. If you love chocolate, a must try would be their valrhona dark chocolate fondant, it’s chocolate dessert at it’s best. That dab of chocolate on the side was just amazing. A hot fondant and a cold vanilla ice cream was too good a combo. The cheese cake was pretty filling and that caramel sauce that comes on the side was luscious. It was the best ending we could ask for our dinner tonight.
