CoffeeTea Eatery is an interesting cafe located at DIFC serving healthy and exciting dishes. The right menu at the right place is what we felt with our experience this weekend at Coffeetea Eatery. Healthy and wholesome food is what you can expect. They have an exciting selection from breakfasts, soups, salads, sandwiches, specialty bowls and desserts like no other. Everything we ordered came in great style and quality. The food was fresh, tasted different and had plenty to cheer about when it comes to an innovative menu. Everyone is covered where you find reasonable selection from veg, chicken, beef and seafood.
The interior is wide open and plants on their walls gives it a touch of nature. We started off with their exciting drinks, I can tell you can’t wrong with any of their cold drinks. The Mud slider shake was fabulous which was mainly a combination of vanilla ice cream and double shots of espresso. Even their good looking ice tea was wonderful in every sip, the highlight being the pretty layers of color in the drink.
For starters we had their refreshing salad and I must admit it was really a joy eating this salad. Thanks for the sweet water melon and contrasting feta cheese along with their addictive dressing. Although it was too little to enjoy. The spicy crispy calamari was nicely presented and was wonderful by itself, the asian hot sauce adds that extra spice to the appetizer which makes it taste even better.
The Arabic Breakfast platter was a plate full of delight. Most people are going to find value in this order. I don’t think you’ll need anything else for quite some times once you are done with this plate. The grilled halloumi, hummus and the spicy potato would be my favourites from this plate. The falafel was made from couscous which made it taste and feel different. We loved how the mini sized bread stayed puffy and looked cute on that plate. The gravy steak bowl was an interesting one, the rissoti rice and vegetables are sure to fill you up. The coffee steak sauce was excellent which went very well with the grilled angus beef steak and made the whole bowl taste better. The Grilled matcha salmon was different. We were quite happy to have tried it, The matcha pesto sauce was commendable and the salmon had a fantastic marination. The sleek mashed potato on the side was pretty good.
We then ended our lunch at Coffeetea Eatery with their special Apple crumble dessert and the best part being the sizzling sound and smoke while they drizzle the apple sauce on top of the hot apple crumble which in itself was a delight to see. The chai poached pear was very different, a poached Pear fruit that had karak chai poured on top of it. It was a different combination, never expected to have a chai on a fruit and those butter cookie crumble with mascarpone cream cheese was the best part of the dessert. We then tried their signature coffee tea drink which was a unique drink by having coffee and tea in the same cup together. I must admit they did an amazing blend as it did taste well and doesn’t spoil the essence of the drink.
