Tre by Roberto Rella is one of the most stylish Italian restaurants in Dubai. Located at the heart of Sheikh Zayed road, opposite to World Trade Center. The restaurant covers 3 floors of Radisson Royal Hotel with dedicated private lifts to shuttle between floors of TRE alone. Besides the artistic presentation and good looking food, TRE offers you an amazing view of Sheikh Zayed road from your dining table which was one of the highlights for me during my lunch at TRE.
TRE is divided between 3 floors with each floor having it’s dedicated theme. TRE is a restaurant, lounge and a bar. There is a private lift that takes you between the 3 floors from 49th floor and upwards. I love the setup of the top most floor which had a wooden flooring. By the way, my pictures just cover the interiors of their restaurant on the 49th floor. They have also used some exclusive materials for their interiors like they have a table made from lava materials. They have dedicated private dining spaces with a special setup for group celebrations with ambiance that is designed to impress and different. They also have sides dedicated for couples with great views and space that can help spark that magical moment 😉
It all started with breads basket which included focaccia, white breads and bread sticks. The dippers made it exciting specially the olive tapenade and sun dried tomatoes. Focaccia was the best among the breads and my son couldn’t stop eating and playing with his bread sticks either. For the drinks there is no doubt that the TRE berry smash is the drink you must try.
The customers at TRE have a great advantage of being given the best view of sheikh zayed road. I couldn’t stop staring at the wonderful views of sheikh zayed road which is a key seller for TRE. The first stater that came in was the Carpacio which to me was the best from the lunch menu we tried. The leaves had a great flavour and the Angus beef was super tasty. By the time I could realize the carpaccio starter was already over 🙁 The Tomino was a little different and the smoked eggplant with brown butter is not something that you see all the time. Overall the starters can’t disappoint as they come with great presentation and taste at TRE.
There is a seafood soup in the mains. Enjoyed the seafood broth, had a great flavour to it. The spring chicken was nice and tender but at the end I felt the portion size was a bit less. Thanks to the breads I could fill myself up. Their dessert was more filling to me specially the pannacota. The lemon tart was a good tart but I felt the mandarin sorbet was dominating the whole experience and the tart experience got overshadowed by the sorbet. The crust of the tart was my favourite part of it. My real love from the dessert was for the pretty looking ricotta cheesecake. Every part of it was simply beautiful and irresistible.
Interestingly they serve you with compliments their in house made sweets after any of their meal like you see below. They had an interesting item in it which was nuts dipped in gold chocolate. The rest of them were jelly, marsmallow and caramel. But you appreciate the quality of these sweets. You can see their menu and their interiors on their official website: http://tre.ae/ .
