Iftar at Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel – AED 120

Dates, Ramadan juices and Dry fruits

Mercure at Barsha is like a secret gem out there. An Iftar here is going to be a healthy one with plenty of vegetable offering from salads to cold mezzeh. I thought they had most coverage of greens here. Day & Night Restaurant is where the Iftar is offered at Mercure Dubai Barsha heights. Iftar is AED 120 per person inclusive of fresh Ramadan juices, AED 60 for children from 6 to 12 years old and children below the age of 6 are free. Iftar is available from sunset to 10:00pm every day throughout the holy month. Shisha is available on the terrace at an additional cost of AED 35.

Mercure Interiors

Dates and dry fruits are available on the tables for breaking fast, and the Day & Night Restaurant features special Ramadan table runners and fanooz lanterns. There is an Oud player from 7:00pm to 10:00pm every evening, adding traditional sounds making for a charming element to the evening.

English Salad

This was my favourite part of my Iftar at Mercure. There was a variety of cold salads and Arabic mezzeh that is a real treat for a healthy Iftar. They made them well and there were plenty to try.

From the buffet of  international dishes there was this meat stuffed puff pastry dish which I thought was brilliant. I just loved it. It’s a must try if you are here.

Arabic Desserts – small Arabic sweets, Umm Ali, Katayef, Kanafeh, Basbousa, Halawet el jeben, Ma’amoul
Desserts – Assorted pastries

Desserts were a treat at Mercure. Just the right balance between English and Arabic desserts along with fresh cut fruits. The kunafa was a highlight, hot and thick.  They also did their best to offer all that famous Arabic desserts that we usually see around Dubai.

Fresh cut Fruits

Arabic coffee will be served at the entrance of the restaurant and throughout the evening and Shisha is available at the additional cost of AED 35 with special Ramadan flavours which include strawberry and mint and rich cherry.
