It’s an Indian feast every Friday at Medley restaurant located in the five star hotel, Pullman Deira City Centre. The speciality this time would be special menu coming from celebrity chef Sweety Singh. The Art of spice themed night which comprises technique of slow cooking and flavors that is true to Indian heritage. Infact Sweety Singh bring some of the spices directly from India for diners to smell and feel the true flavor of Indian spices as sometimes it’s challenging to find them exactly in Dubai. The dinner starts every Friday from 07:00pm to 11:00pm.
It all starts with their sweet and salty lassi selection being passed around and you could always refill as much as you wanted at the buffet counter. Drinks are usually brought to the table.
If you love Indian Chaats then this is the place to be, infact this was my favorite part at the Indian night dinner buffet at Medley. You are going to be able to satisfy all your hunger from famous Indian chaats. There is a specialized station just for this purpose who will make you different chaats on your order and you can even customize it the way you like it.
Salads and pickles were interesting. Some of the salads and pickles were unique and blended with Indian spices that adds variety of flavors in your mouth. The grilled meat and tikka were ok, I was more happy with Paneer instead. They had different rotis and naan which were freshly prepared in front of us.
As expected for desserts they had all the Indian desserts to keep you happy. The pink coconut laddu was a unique one, don’t see that very often. The Gulab Jamun could have been better, it was too soggy. The rasmalai, the kheer and the samiya were well done and you are going to enjoy having them. They also offered a decent selection of English desserts.
They also had the karak chai the Indian way, it was very typical taste of what you would find on an Indian street. Expect it to taste different from Dubai Karak Chai. Click here to visit the official website of the restaurant. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view:
