Enjoy your weekend the British way with Britannia Brunch at The Address Downtown Dubai. A buffet of fresh salads, premium cheese, raw seafood, enticing hot starters, LIVE stations and mains consisting of British classics such as Yorkshire pudding accompanied by succulent roasts. A cosy place with beautiful views of the world’s tallest building, one of the best options for a Friday brunch with family and friends.
The moment you step in, you know you are inside a five star. From the floors to the tables and their cutleries everything makes an impression. I was quite impressed with their service. The gentlemen in their blazers at the door were impressive for their high standards of English etiquette and sets the right tone for their Britannia Brunch while they greet you into their restaurant. Sitting in their balcony you have undisturbed views of Burj Khalifa and with current temperature in hand sitting outside is not a bad idea.
For drinks they had a jug of juice bar for all tables. They would pour it for you and the remaining jug would be left on your table. The juice felt more like a flavored water. You could also ask them to make you any random mocktail, one of them we tried was the Bloody Mary Mocktail which was a heavy dose of tomato juice which might not be the one if you are looking for a sweet one.

The Hot buffet was a pleasure. They had the best of English hot starters. Kids loved them, thanks to their succulent mini beef burgers and sausages. Lamb chops were a delight. I thought their chicken lollipops could have been better. Different meat skewers were also a highlight at the hot buffet counter.
Raw Bar

- King Crab Leg + Green Mussels
- Carpaccio + Tartare + Fish Ceviche

The Raw bar had an interesting collection of seafood items. The Oysters were really fresh and there were little plates where you could find ceviches . To be honest there were plenty of selection and I couldn’t try all of it. But I must admit the sushis were fantastic along with it’s accompaniments. You also could find different flavors of cold cut beef.

Let’s not forget the mains! The real star of the show. There was no surprise to see the Yorkshire pudding in a British Brunch. The roast for the day was a lovely piece of lamb. We were even more thrilled with the stuffed salmon fishermen pie. Both the puff and the salmon were just fantastic, loved every Inch of this one. The roast chicken was soft and well marinated.
Live Station
- Pancakes + Waffles + CrĂªpes +
- French Toast
Let’s not forget the LIVE station. This can be easily missed in the middle of the buffet. The French toast was just beautiful. It was lovely to see the brioche bread getting made in the hot pan just in front of my eyes. It does take a while to make them, so better order them early.
Desserts
- British Sweet Platter
- Apple Tatin | Crème Brûlée | Panna Cotta
- Cherry on the Cake | Citrus Story | Eton Mess
- Ice Cream Bowl | Seasonal Fruit Crumble + Custard
They have a dessert buffet station where they had this amazing rich chocolate cake you must try. But for the brunch they do have special desserts which they bring to your tables as well, from which the lemon meringue tart was just luscious. The Eton mess was just a pack of bundled ice cream more than anything else. I think they could have a better formula for their Eton mess. The Apple crumble was satisfactory.
