A new American grill is now open for all the meat lovers, specially curated by Chef Michael Mina. When I attended the official launch party at Prime Grill, the meats that day was just mesmerizing and I thought I should definitely feature them on this site so you guys know what it’s like eating at Prime Grill by Chef Michael Mina. The quality of the meat is first class and satisfying, one of the best burgers you can find and even their freshly made breads is worth a mention.

Prime Grill is located at Al safa Galleria Mall. The restaurant is not inside the mall, so it’s as good as eating at a standalone restaurant. The restaurant faces the main road of Al Safa, Jumeirah road. Its’ not a big restaurant but you are going to love the interiors, Marble top tables with different kinds of chairs and sofas. Sitting outside the restaurant is not a bad idea at Prime Grill, in this climate we actually preferred sitting outside. Their kitchen is actually on their top floor and you see cooked food coming from top to the serving station.

It all starts with their complimentary breads. The breads were too good. They were warm and soft. You can appreciate the quality of their freshly baked breads. Simple starters that you are just going to love. You can try their PG cooler from their mocktail list which is my favourite mocktail at Prime Grill, the Espresso Martini was a straight forward cold coffee.

We were really impressed with their salad. Little did we expect a full size Avacado when we ordered the avocado salad. The Avocado salad is a pure delight and you mustn’t miss this one if you enjoy eating Avocados. The dressing in this salad is well balanced and we just loved everything about it. The smoked chicken wings was actually sweet and I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been a spicy one. Nevertheless they are a great company for starters.

Then came the prime dishes at Prime Grill. You can be assured they serve one of the best burgers in Dubai. You are really going to enjoy it. Prime Grill imports their meat directly from the US. The quality of the beef was commendable combined with their fresh buns, it just gets even better. The herb fries was a great company to the burger, straight and crispy. When the lamb chops and steak came we were handed our steak knives. The tender lamb chops was a joy. The steak was a little tough for some reason. I had a different experience with their steaks in the opening night which was really tender and soft. You pay separately for the side sauces, chimichurri was a good combination for my steak.

Valrhona dark chocolate cake – AED 36 – caramelia mousse, peanut butter ganache

Roasted Strawberry cheese cake – AED 36 – lemon shortbread, pistachio streusel

The roasted strawberry cheese cake is highly recommended. A smooth texture of rich quality cheese, the cheesecake was really good. Surprisingly the Valrhona chocolate cake felt ordinary. It didn’t have the same effect as their strawberry cheese cake. The chocolate cake was lacking the richness that chocolate lovers expect especially when made from a premium Valrhona chocolate. We ended our meal with a hot creamy turmeric latte which was really nice and a soother.
