Most sedan fans who wants a piece of Audi, usually begins with Audi A4. The new Audi A4 is much more sportier than what it used to be with it’s exterior change. The LED headlights also come now as standard. The car in the picture is a 45 TFSI quattro with S line package and optional decorative inserts added, making it much more macho and sporty looking. The car gives you a nice ride and the the MMI touch display with acoustic feedback has now replaced the old rotatory/pushbutton control which definitely makes it much more convenient to navigate the MMI interface. The good looks, the premium fabric/materials used inside and the technology available in the A4 makes it an interesting vehicle to consider. The new A4 starts at a price of AED 180,000 approximately.
The car in picture is wrapped in beautiful ‘Turbo blue’ color. The color is a nice blue and a refresh from the usual colors we see on the road. From the exterior, the most notable difference would be the front grill, the wide exhaust tail pipes and the LED headlights. You also have an option to upgrade to Matrix headlight to make it look even more sophisticated. The 19inch Alloy wheel which has a matte titanium finish makes a statement of it’s own. The vehicle in picture will all the options added comes to around AED 240,345. Audi offers the A4 model line with four turbocharged engines in the Middle East. The center console look simple at a first glance but actually has plenty of useful buttons around the cockpit. The A4 has been driver centric by placing useful buttons all around the driver for quick access. Most cars today try to keep the dashboard clean by removing all possible mechanical buttons from the center console by providing a touch screen, in the case of Audi even though having a big screen in the center, they still have included useful buttons and knobs for quick and convenient access for the driver. Even the cup holder is to be appreciated on how well the cup stay in the cup holder, thanks to the intelligent design. A smart design that grip the cups so it stayed firm in these cup holders. There is a dedicated console for AC. AC controls are not just ordinary buttons as they also sense the finger when you place on top of these metal buttons, such technology in the vehicle gives you goosebumps as you use them. Besides the easy access multi-media control buttons available on the steering wheel, you also have a dedicated multi-media control button in the center(next to the gear) where you can easily toggle between stations/music and it’s volume which will also allow the side passenger to take control if needed.

The Audi virtual cockpit is a nice one.You can change the look of the speedometer which has 3 preset themes. You also can change the size of the speedometer and have the details more enlarged inside the virtual cockpit. The best example would be the navigation, how it would fill up the entire 12.3 inch virtual display, making navigation look so easy while driving. It’s quality color display too, so it’s a delight looking through it.
The 10.1-inch high resolution MMI touch display is more useful when you try to park the vehicle or want see navigation on a bigger screen. Also note it detects hand writing, so you can actually search for key location simply by writing on the touch screen using your fingers and it works very well as it always detected the handwriting correctly even though I used joining letters.
The special edition is equipped with a lot of assistance systems, such as the side assist, pre sense rear and basic as well as the rear view camera. Audi Intelligent technologies would include

Cruise control
Cruise control helps the driver maintain a desired driving speed, that can be set by a switch and overridden when you press the brake.
Hold assist
Hold assist automatically switches over to the electromechanical parking brake when the vehicle is stopped for a longer period of time, ensuring the vehicle will remain stationary even without activation of the parking brake.
Parking aid plus with reversing camera
Parking aid plus informs the driver, visually and audibly, about obstacles in the front and back of the vehicle while providing the rear view when reversing. Ultrasonic sensors inconspicuously integrated into the bumpers measure the distance with the virtual driving path display showing lateral guide lines, assisting in convenient parking and exiting.
The ambient lighting adds a nice mood in the car. You have a selection of multiple colors and can also customize different layers of ambient lighting to your liking. On the steering wheel, you have mainly cruise control settings and media controls for easy switching between channels, volume and calls. The sport leather steering wheel is a joy to hold and has a unique flat cut at the bottom which is part of the Sline package.
The A4 has one of the best looking sport seats(add on). The fabric had a nice feel but I should honestly say when you drive for long hours you feel less comfortable in these seats, but that’s how typically how most sport seats behave. Besides the dozen of electronic buttons for your seat, the favourite pick would be the massage seat buttons which is available for both front seat passengers. There were 3 different kind of massage for your back and 3 levels of intensity that you could select. The arm rest for the driver felt a little small, but you could adjust the arm rest at different heights which is usually not available in most cars. The wireless charging for the mobile phones is available under the armrest. There is also soft fabric material on the sides of the door which is a nice velvety feel and adds a luxurious touch inside the vehicle.
The boot size is spacious. You can expand the boot further by sliding down the rear seats. All 3 of them can be pushed down to make room for the boot which should then be good enough to fit in your bigger items such as a bicycle.
