Every time you enter a Lexus, you always be fascinated with its luxurious and modern interior. The same goes with their restaurant which just buries you in it’s world of luxury and impressive design. This is one of those restaurants you must visit if you are keen to see the beauty of interior decor. It clearly reflects it’s heritage, culture and you can tell this is a restaurant coming from the same people behind Lexus. The furniture, art, music and good food at INTERSECT by Lexus makes it an impressive dining outlet. They now have a brunch running every Saturday from 01:00pm to 04:00pm where dishes consist of sharing starters, a salad bar, selection of mains and a dessert platter coupled with unlimited drinks. The interior decor is just one of a kind. You would just admire as soon as you step into the restaurant. The cafe downstairs is even more chilling with actual Lexus spare parts to be found on the glass floor of the cafe. Even the bathroom had a special thought to the design with automatic doors and an array of toy cars stretched on a long wall creating a distinct patter of color and immersive art piece. Cleary INTERSECT by Lexus will win many hearts for its exquisite design just like the vehicle Lexus we know. Lexus being famous, I’ve noticed while dining many car enthusiasts just visit the restaurant out of curiosity. You also get to buy souvenirs from the restaurant.
They had unlimited drinks for Saturday brunch so you could keep refilling your drinks. We tried with virgin Apple Mojito and Berry tea. Both of them equally good but very different from each other. The salad bar was surprisingly impressive. I mean it looked ordinary from a distance but once you have it on your plate with their dressing, they just tasted amazing to the palate. Simple yet elegant in taste. One of the other things that diners would enjoy would be their plates. Pretty and distinct in design with unique color patterns and shape.
The starters have been really good and exciting. The man of the match was definitely the honey glazed sweet potato which was addictive. We got both versions of Edmame, spicy and non spicy and definitely the spicy one is the interesting one. The salmon carpaccio came presented elegantly and it definitely had it’s own charm when it comes to taste. You needed to have good skills with the chop stick to get hold of it.
We picked one steak and one fish from the mains. Definitely the steak was juicy and tender. The sauces underneath it make it so delicious that you just begin to eat the piece of meat so quickly that you want more of it. Just look at the presentation, how pretty it looks on that plate. The banana wrapped sea bream made a special intro by coming in a special bowl where they then open the wrap to pour the special broth on top. The fish was fresh and it came with its own taste but I’d always pick a steak any day if given a choice.
The brunch finishes with a dessert platter. The cheesecake was my favourite, the chocolate cake was more of a Christmas special, I was more enjoying the cream in it. The other special item would be their mango and spice granola topped with a coconut ice cream. You would get the spicy feeling but at the same time the sweetness coming from the mango and the coconut cream which balanced the taste. This dessert was different and it made a good impression on all of us. Don’t forget to try the coffee at INTERSECT, they make some of the best coffee.
