Here’s a new Italian restaurant in town. Buono Buono was our first visit to a restaurant after Ramadan for lunch and we’ve been impressed with this little pretty restaurant at JBR. If you love Italian food such as pasta and pizza, then Buono Buono is a must visit. The Italian dishes are really made well, the ambience, exciting starters, the variety of pasta and pizza offering in their menu, long selection of drinks which includes multiple variants of their signature hot chocolate with Nutella or Toblerone is all something to try if you are here.
Buono Buono is a small but vibrant and cozy restaurant at JBR. Perfect spot if you want to hangout with friends. Love the colors used inside which is young and dynamic. They have a simple one page menu but it’s got all that you need. Food is served in an impressive speed and portion size is generous. Outdoor seating is also nice and considering they are not facing the beach, outdoor seaters should find a decent shade at most times.
It all begins with their complimentary bread. Kudos to their bread basket where each one of them was lovely. It’s basically 2 kinds of bread and bread sticks. It’s those dippers around it such as the olive oil, balsamic, olive tapenade which makes it even more exciting. For drinks we tried a Mojito and a smoothie. Both were really good but I personally enjoyed the thick and rich smoothie. Crispy fried calamari went wonderful with the caesar sauce provided. Actually the thick aioli caesar might get short, we actually had to ask for more.
The best part were the mains. It was one of the best Pastas in town. Surely they make amazing dishes here. It was the taste, the quality of the ingredients you feel in your mouth that you appreciate how well the dishes are made. They are presented very well too. The parmesan cheese adds that extra pleasure in eating these pasta. Usually we eat pasta stuffed with spinach, but this time we got to try the pasta filled with burrata cheese which had a pleasant taste compared to the spinach stuffing. he Kids would easily finish them. Pappardelle Alla Genovese pasta was my first attempt and loved everything about it including the beef in it. The pizza as expected was amazing which came loaded with mozzarella, bresaola, parmesan and rocca.
We were expecting an impressive coffee but to be honest what really impressed us was their signature hot chocolate. It comes in two variants(Nutella or Toblerone). You take either of them and i am sure it won’t go wrong. We went for the nutella and we really loved it. The restaurant is also open for English breakfast.
