VIDA DOWNTOWN IFTAR 2017 – AED 170

3 in 1 – interiors

Here is an iftar at a Boutique Hotel located at the heart of Downtown Dubai. It’s not my first time at Vida Hotel and I always feel at home eating inside this chic hotel. The cuisine is mainly Arabic and English. Iftar is priced at AED 170 per adult, children 11 years and below enjoy 50% discount.

Dates
Nuts
Drinks – Ramadan Traditional drinks, Fizzy drinks, fresh juices

It begins with a dedicated room of drinks consisting of fresh juices, traditional Ramadan drinks including rose milk. I probably would have tried atleast 5 different types of drinks. You are in heaven so you might as well enjoy. Next table was dedicated to a wide variety of Dates and Nuts. This alone was good enough for me to get my Iftar started with excitement.

Salads
Cold Mezzeh

The salads and Cold Mezzeh at Vida Iftar is one of the best you could find for an Iftar. A neat selection of cold Mezzeh with interesting ingredients along with a modern twist makes it an exciting proposition. Most people would definitely appreciate their cold mezzeh and salad bar.

Breads
Hot appetizers
cheese and zaater manaakish
Freshly made Pizza
Hot cheese/Zaater bread

There were interesting items laid out for the hot mezzeh. We loved their Meat Kibbeh, Fatayers and Manakish. The freshly baked pizzas were out of the world. Their Italian pizzas were irresistible!

Maincourse – Fish
Maincourse – Meat Skewers
Maincourse – Lamb Ouzi with yoghurt

For the mains it was their typical Vida iftar which has been consistent for the past few years. You get to order only one main for their Iftar price and to be honest Although we enjoyed the mains, the portion size is quite small except for the Lamb Ouzi. The Lamb Ouzi was my favourite from our list of mains. The rice on it was aromatic and good enough that even kids eat it easily.

Arabic Desserts at 3 in 1 Iftar at Vida Hotel
English Desserts

For desserts they had English and Arabic treats. For this year they seem to have removed some of my favourite Arabic desserts such as those filled with cream such as halawat el jeben are no more one their menu which was a disappointment. So this time I spent more time with English desserts. You shouldn’t miss their date toffee pudding which was a nice one.
