Andalucia Tapas & Grill is a Spanish restaurant located at Jebel Ali recreation club providing you a Latin experience with their signature dishes & drinks. You actually get a complete experience if you dine in the evenings which will usually include their LIVE band and dancing. On Fridays they have a special 3 course brunch for the day and night which will include a selection from each category of tapas, mains & dessert with unlimited beverages. They have different pricing for Ladies & Gents as below:
Timings: Day Brunch – 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Night Brunch – 8:00pm – 12:00am
Price: Ladies: Dhs 225 – including food and unlimited house beverages
Gents: Dhs 265 – including food and unlimited house beverages
Andalucia has cozy interiors with comfortable seating and high glass walls which makes it feel spacious and airy on the inside. We took advantage of the beautiful weather, by spending our Friday brunch sitting outside the restaurant. There wasn’t any LIVE band at Andalucia for the day brunch, but there was a LIVE band being played at the neighbouring restaurant which can be heard and seen from a distance which was good enough for us.
TAPAS & Drinks
The unlimited drinks was a key highlight of the brunch. For Mocktails, they had variety of different drinks and my favorite from the list would be their Pina Colada made from coconut milk and pineapple juice. The Nachos are a must try from their selection of Tapas. Nachos comes in three kinds, we picked the one with more cheese and sauce and less spicy to accommodate the kids. Otherwise the Nachos with chili Angus beef sauce looked very tempting. The portion size for the tapas has been generous and looks good for sharing. The hot & crispy cheese sticks was again an excellent choice. Biting these cheese sticks in the cold weather outside and the way the manchego cheese would stretch and play in your mouth was a wonderful experience. I had high expectations from the chicken wings but I honestly thought the chicken wings could get better. The best part would be the blue cheese dip which was simply fantastic by itself.
MAINS
It is tough to make up your mind on just one from their Mains, fortunately we were sharing our mains with each other. Paella is one of their speciality and so we ordered the sea food version. They also had a chicken and a vegetarian version of the Paella. Surely the Beef shot ribs was the favorite from our mains. The meat was super tender and would just cut as soon you place the cutlery on top of it. What surprised us was the their Angus beef burger. The beef patty wasn’t up to the mark. It was a little hard and dry, otherwise every other stuffing inside the burger tasted nice.
We had the right ending to our brunch with their hot desserts which was the Molten Chocolate cake and their signature the hot churros. The churros came out perfectly and the warm molten chocolate cake was just heavenly.
