Here’s a Friday feast that you must have on your list. Be at one place and get to taste from every corner of the world with Sheraton Grand hotel launching a dinner experience called ‘Flavours from around the world’ at their signature FEAST restaurant. The dinner takes us through gourmet hotspots from around the world such as USA, Italy, France, Mexico, UK, India, Indonesia, China, Greece, Middle East and Japan. It doesn’t stop with exquisite cuisines but is also complimented with entertainment of LIVE music and singing which sets the ambient for the evening.

Considering it’s an ‘around the world’ theme, you will be greeted at the door step of the restaurant like a check-in at the airport with air hostess greeting you and cabin crew handing over the boarding pass and taking you inside the restaurant. Right in the center of the restaurant you see live music. Dining seats are spread across the restaurant on all sides. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of options for seating with different lightings too and they also have a balcony seating with views of the sheikh zayed road.
Let me give you a good tip, you better plan your dinner cause you simply can’t eat all that you see, there’s too much going on. Expect to find dishes such as crispy Mexican tacos, fajitas and guacamole, spicy Indian tandoors, tikkas, curries and biryani, authentic pizza margarita and bruschetta’s from Italy, a variety of sushi’s and sashimi’s from Japan, Salmon fillet wellington and Yorkshire pudding from the UK, among others. We had the soft drink package and were lucky to have mocktail offered. Some of my favourite picks would be the sushis, grills, fish and steak from UK station, Thai, Chinese, cheese station.
I honestly don’t think we missed anything tonight cause they had all the trending cuisines covered in their menu.But From the middle eastern they had just Lebanese cuisine as part of their selection, there wasn’t any turkish or Emarati specials. It’s interesting they didn’t have the local dishes featured. But that said, like I was telling earlier it was too much to eat anyway. I just tried to pick one item from each station and I still couldn’t complete my round.
For desserts they have a heavy collection but mainly coming from the English menu more than anywhere else, consisting of homemade cakes, ice creams, fondant, tarts, pudding, signature pastries. I think they should have had some around the world menu for the desserts as well.
