A brand new restaurant at a brand new place. London Slide is all about British fashion, style, music and art. A funky theme to be loved by the youth. The diners will be mesmerized by their signature Baos and sliders. London slide is inspired by youthful defiance and you will notice it everywhere including the packaging which is designed by emerging artists. They have a very simple menu but some of them in it have been sizzling good!
Unfortunately the interiors at London Slide at Bluewaters Island is pretty small. They’ve got more tables and chairs on the outside. The interiors are colorful and strong tones of color and images used all around the wall, giant screens running videos of British fashion and artists. The red skeletons sketched on their walls and packaging does have a meaning of transition.
The drinks have been fantastic at London slide. You have a selection of Mocktails, Lemonades  & Milkshakes. The pineapple lavender sparkler mocktail was really good and highly recommend you to try the same. The passion fruit lemonade was interesting where we had to inject the passion fruit syrup separately into the Lemonade. The Milkshake was beautifully presented but I would prefer to pick the mocktail or the lemonade over their milkshake when it comes to enjoying the drink.
The sides were delicious. The long torpedo prawns along with Siracha dipper was really a joy eating and so was the camembert which was a stuffing of soft cheese. My favorite would be the curly fries. They came hot, crispy and was a great companion to our sliders.
One of the best Baos you can find in Dubai. The juicy meats inside these Bao along with their magic of sauces and spices they add into these Baos has just been mind blowing. The slow cooked beef brisket was commendable but then marinated tiger prawns had it’s own way of impressing us. We just couldn’t give up eating these Baos. They were mouth watering dishes and would quickly finish from our table.
Marinated Grilled chicken slider – AED 40 – Marinated grilled chicken breast, honey mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado
The sliders were mouth watering. We loved their buns and they had 3 kinds of bun. One is the classic(brown in color), Green Bun(using spinach), Black Bun(using Squid ink). The sliders were truly delicious. Neatly stuffed and stacked up with vegetables and meat. Whichever you pick from their sliders, you will simply enjoy it. Just hope that you are able to fit the slider in your mouth.
We ended our meal at London Slide with their softy ice creams. They seem to rave a lot about their ice creams. They are homemade but I just didn’t find it extra ordinary. I strongly feel they need to add real desserts to their menu to make it complete. Otherwise their drinks, sliders and Baos are bound to mesmerize your taste buds.
