Brunch at Just Vegan Jumeirah

Just Vegan is a 100% Plant-Based Vegan Restaurant in Dubai. There are few branches in Dubai and the Jumeirah branch was the latest one to open this year. The restaurant transports you to a green planet of it’s own. One of the rare pet friendly restaurants in UAE. Vegan food here has not just been a joy to eat but also every inch of the food is instagram worthy, especially the unique colors produced from the plant based meal. So don’t forget to take a nice lens when you visit this restaurant. It is a highly recommended restaurant even if you are not a vegan cause the menu is simply unique and has a taste of it’s own which you don’t find elsewhere. Also to appreciate is the affordable pricing such as Set Menus starting at only AED29 and Weekend Brunch for just AED49.

The first time you step into the restaurant, you would be staring at the ceiling for its green decor of green plants hanging from the top. They’ve done a fabulous job by keeping the interior so pretty, colorful and as close as possible to nature. It’s a spacious restaurant and different seatings available around you which even includes cushioned sofas. Although being a pet friendly restaurant, we didn’t find any pets in the restaurant. By the way, they also provide free valet parking for their customers. They also have a top floor.

Menu Just Vegan
Complimentary detox drinks
complimentary fried popcorns on the house
ORGANIC BEETROOT LATTE – 24 AED
Passion fruit Mocktail

The menu is electronic but you need to have a smart phone to see the menu as they don’t provide any tablets for the same. We started with their unexpected complimentary detox drinks and fried popcorn which felt as a grand treat. A stylish presentation of detox drinks in small sized glass bottles on a heap of cold ice cubes, each of them had different flavours in them but don’t expect it be a sweet one but rather drink it for the benefits. I was more happier gulping my refreshing passion fruit mocktail which kind of looked the same but sweeter and fizzy. The fried pop corn was definitely one of the best complimentary starters you can get. They were irresistible but don’t get fooled by the quantity, 70% of the pop corn holder was filled with non edible coffee beans.

Nachos – AED 49 –
Nachos with chick’n sofrito, avo hummus, bloody mary salsa, and cheese sauce.

The Nachos was just outstanding. We really had a great time sharing this starter and is a highly recommended item to order when you are here with your friends or a group. I think the magic was the heavily loaded cheese sauce on those Nacho chips along with 3 magnificent dippers that makes this item even more addictive.

Fajita & Nacho Burger – AED
48 РPlant-based meat patty with fajita seasoning topped with onion & pepper saut̩ed, cheese, guacamole, salsa, nachos, and chipotle mayo.

The Burger was just massive. The plant based patty just felt like meat, we honestly didn’t find any lack of meat patty. The burger was stuffed by so many layers that it was impossible to eat it without getting messy with it. We loved the experience and these buns also come with the brand signature stamped on it. For sides, you can also opt for sweet potato if you don’t enjoy regular fries The crinkled regular fries went very well with our burger.

Shakshouka – AED 51 – Onion, trio peppers, chickpeas, eggplant, tofu parsley, tomato sauce, gluten-free toast, mesclun salad.
Beet & Tofu Benedict – AED 59 –
Gluten-free toast, spinach, tofu, beet hollandaise, early tomatoes, broccolini
Inside Beet & Tofu Benedict – AED 59 –
Gluten-free toast, spinach, tofu, beet hollandaise, early tomatoes, broccolini

We tried 2 items from the breakfast section. Our reaction was different from each other. The Beetroot Benedict was impressive and we loved everything about it including the toast. The first thing that would catch anyone’s eye would be the beautiful purple colour on the dish but at the same time the Shakshouka hasn’t been that appealing to our taste buds even though it was presented well. The long breads that came along with it was fun to eat but we were not impressed with the shakshouka flavour as such even though the ingredients looked exciting on paper.

Only Choco(Gluten free) – AED 56 – Dark chocolate, raspberry, lime, heavy vegan cream, fresh fruits.

Our dessert had the best of both worlds, fresh fruits and chocolate. Even though they call it a dark chocolate on menu, it tasted like a milk chocolate ice cream. The best part was when you eat the chocolate dessert with the berries and other fruits along with it which was a wonderful combination. They’ve got plenty more interesting items on their menu and we’ve been quite impressed with what a vegan only restaurant can offer. Can’t wait to be here again.
