Mighty Quinn’s – JBR

Lunch at Mighty Quinn’s

Here’s a restaurant for those meat lovers. Mighty Quinn’s BBQ is focused on serving you fresh meat and poultry which is cooked for hours of wood fire.  The over all menu is typical American. We absolutely loved their beef, their high grade beef  smoked in hours of wood fire guarantees you one of the finest smoked beef you will enjoy.

Located at JBR THE WALK, the place has been entertaining for all of us. Lots of fun and activities are being hosted by JBR and it’s all happening right in front of the restaurant.  It’s much better to be sitting outside with fantastic weather and more room than the inside of the restaurant.

Drinks – Passion Fruit smoothie(AED 26) and Hot chocolate & Toasted Marshmallow(AED 25)

Their drinks have been majestic specially the hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow. Actually it’s not hot in any way, they are cold drinks which comes thick, cold and you don’t want it to finish. By the time we took 3 to 4 sips the drink was already over. I just wished they served in a bigger glass.

From Left: Sweet potato casserole(AED 25) and Broccoli Salad(AED 21)

They have very unique sides. The sweet potato casserole is not something you get everywhere to try. I thought that was a better side to try. The sweet potato casserole is a heavy start and you definitely want to share this one.

Sides – Fries(AED 20) and Onion Rings(AED 22)

The fries were thin and crispy. The giant crispy onion rings definitely makes a statement and you don’t want to forget to order this one here.

Chicken wings – AED 28 for 6 pieces
Chicken & Waffle – AED 50

The spicy chicken wings were just outstanding. One of the best items from the menu we tried today. The chicken wings had a nice flavour to it with just the right touch of spice that you enjoy very much. The chicken and waffle was just ok to me, Although the chef told me that the waffles are made fresh, it just didn’t feel the same.

Brisket Half Pound – AED 70
Lamb Shank – AED 76

The beef brisket was impressive with beef being extremely tender and juicy as ever. Beef is definitely their strong selling point  and you understand why people love coming back to Mighty quinn’s.  I definitely want to try the burnt ends next time from their menu. The yellow bun reminds us of the similar potato bun seen at shake shack.  Unfortunately the good looking lamb shank was not as fascinating as their beef. We thought the lamb shank could have been more tender. The quality and taste from their beef is on a different level.

Desserts at Mighty Quinn’s
Desserts from left: Apple crumble with ice cream(AED 25) and Bread and butter pudding amores(AED 25)

We finally ended our lunch with traditional American desserts. A cold ice cream on a bed of warm Apple crumble was a better bet but this is one area I thought they needed to improve when I compare to desserts offered from similar restaurants in Dubai. Click here to visit their official website.
