Nar is the restaurant to visit if you want to enjoy some exceptional Lebanese cuisine. They specialize in Mediterranean cuisine but with a modern twist and unique offering that makes the dining experience at Nar really good. Everything we tried today has been mesmerizing and the food here is one level up when you think about Arabic food. This is a must visit restaurant if you typically enjoy eating Arabic food and you would like to give your taste buds a refresh of quality Middle Eastern flavors.
Nar at City walk, couldn’t be a better place for the restaurant. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, with outdoor seating divided between smoking and non-smoking spaces. Located just around the citywalk fountain, you have the best spot in the house. Nar restaurant boasts indoor dining areas, shisha lounges, a majlis and an outdoor seating area. The weather was cool and we took advantagae of their outdoor seating in the beautiful space at Citywalk Dubai.
They have some lovely drinks from their menu. We enjoyed the Nar Mocktail very much which was more liquid as opposed to the thick multi-layered fruit juice. I suggest go for the Mocktails if you are really thirsty cause the fruit cocktail might just feel heavy and less of a thirst quencher.
We then started of our lunch with their hot breads and hummus. Our Hummus ordered was called Beiruti which we thoroughly enjoyed and can vouch as an excellent hummus to enjoy. The vine leave stuffing was simply magnificent. You couldn’t ask for a better one. I think anyone who never enjoyed the vines leave stuffing before, must try this one. They make really good breads and once again this is appreciated when we tried their spinach stuffed bread. The softness in the bread, along with a neat stuffing of spinach, onions, pomegranate, olive oil makes it soggy on the inside but a delicious one. From the lot, the shrimps heavily dipped in Garlic cream felt ordinary and thought they could make some improvements to this dish on the menu.
The meats here are unbelievably good. Kibbe meshwiyeh is a must try and it was a great combo of meat and Burghol. The Shawarma platter is a lovely plate of meat, we tried a mix of both chicken and beef. I thought the chicken tasted better and those thick potato fries that came along with the mains was really a treat to hold and eat. I wish French Fries always came like this. The Mixed grill is a succulent mixed plate of lamb, beef and chicken. If i had to pick one favourite from the platter, it would be the thick juicy lamb cubes that was in the platter. Overall you can’t go wrong with such tantalizing platter of grill.
We then ended our lunch with a fine dessert and Turkish Coffee, just the traditional way. The cheese kunafa was standard like any other cheese kunafa, but a good one. What really mesmerized was their Ashta W ASAL, a homemade cream with milk, along with fruits and honey. It was simply irresistible. The Turkish coffee was well balanced and a high quality coffee which we thoroughly enjoyed after eating those luscious desserts.
