Gazebo – Aswaaq Mall Al Quoz

Interiors Gazebo , Al Quoz

Gazebo has now opened their latest branch in Al Quoz, Aswaaq Mall and we just couldn’t resist visiting when we got the opportunity to review the new restaurant. It’s a small restaurant but they’ve ensured to include their classic private dining spaces which is a favorite to many at their restaurant. Being a brand new restaurant it does have its freshness and is a good time to visit this outlet while it’s all new. The food menu wouldn’t change, it continues it magic here as well.

Gosht Galawati Kabab – AED 48 -Fine lamb mince mixed with spices chopped green chillies and coriander, shallow friend and served on a bed of reshmi paratha

For drinks you definitely want to try their dry fruit milkshake. Typical Indian shake milk shake but dry fruit version which not often you find in Dubai restaurants. Loved every bit of it. The lamb kebabs were just melting in the mouth and it came sitting on their reshmi paratha which was flaky and wonderful by itself. This is a must starter that you should try here. It’s difficult to handle these delicate kebab on fork or spoon as they would just fall off the cutlery due to it’s weight and tenderness. The Murgh seekh speciality would be its stuffing of cheese and mint coriander. A very unique starter and perfectly created for the modern taste buds. If you haven’t yet tried their zaitooni salad then it’s definitely worth a try. Olive and paneer taste best in this magical combination with yoghurt.

This time we tried few new dishes and as always they’ve been mesmerizing at Gazebo. They lately had won the best biriyani award and we made sure to order at least one from their long list of biriyani collection on their menu and while we wait for our order we did see a lot of biriyani takeaways as that is their no.1 seller for a long time now. Personally, my favourite at Gazebo has been their grills. They just taste amazing with their signature marination on them especially the chickens. I think we made a mistake ordering the luckynowi chops masala as these chops literally get drenched in that curry, if you want to feel the chops then you might as well order from their starters where you really get to appreciate the grilled lamb chops. The masala definitely overpowers the lamb chops beauty here. The Taftan bread was my first try this time and surprisingly very soft, perfect for those who want a softer bread.

Malpua with Rabdi – AED 20 – sugar syrup soaked pancake prepared with flour, milk and cardamom , fried in ghee, topped with rich condensed milk

Rabdi with tender coconut – AED 16

Zafrani Tea – AED 9

They’ve got a decent collection of desserts and we picked all Indian. My favorite would be the Kulfi falooda and Malpua with Rabdi. Both of them were simply irresistible. The tender coconut rabdi was dominated with coconut flavor, so that was a low for me personally. The malpua was very rich and heavy in texture. They make nice Indian tea too and zafrani is the one to try. Click here to visit their official website. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view.
