Osh at La Mer is an exciting new restaurant in Dubai. They entice you with their signature Uzbek dishes and grills but most importantly they have some interesting dishes in their menu which you haven’t experience else where in Dubai. Cozy interiors, Beautiful looking dishes calibrated with a twist in flavours is bound to give you an enjoyable experience eating at Osh.
Love the cozy interiors at Osh. You may also sit upstairs where you have a good view of La Mer beach from their balcony but no kids allowed upstairs as they serve alcohol. They have a wide open kitchen on the ground floor where you see all the action happening. The stairs that takes you to the top floor of the restaurant is unique and has an iconic design.
They have a good collection of drinks which includes mocktails, fresh juices, shakes, detox drinks. The Mocktails are really good, infact we enjoyed the Mocktails better than their Milkshake, but the Mocktails were an overload of ice, half the glass was ice so in reality there is very less drink in that glass. The milkshake was a unique combination of dark chocolate, avocado, chia seeds, white oats, honey combined with milk and chocolate sauce. Healthy ingredients in a milkshake but the milkshake didn’t have the punch we’d expect from it.
The soup was beautiful. Probably one of the best looking, tasting and filling tomato soup. You mix all those sides together and the soup get’s thicker and majestic. The salmon Poke bowl is a must have. Simple yet an irresistible bowl. It’s amazing how they combine all those items together to bring out a great flavor.
From their hot selection, Samsa is one of my favorites here. It’s basically meat inside puff pastry. The spicy prawn tempura is not really that spicy but just good enough spice to enjoy it. The cheburek comes fried and fluffy. Â It’s similar to the Indian Poori but stuffed with cheese and herbs. The dip that comes along with it was very good and made the cheburek even more luscious. Kids will love them even more.
The cherry and cottage cheese vareniki was more on the sweeter side. I thought this item was better ordered during breakfast.
Their Grills were top class especially their shashlik(meat that came in skewers). The traditional Uzbek rice was really nice and felt healthy eating it. The Lamb chops were juicy as ever and could never complain. All of their skewers came with a typical Indian Parata but wish they were more fluffy and crispy.
Osh has some breath taking desserts. Both the desserts we ordered were truly remarkable in presentation and taste. The Napoleon here was one of the best Mille-feuille you can experience, it’s lot of cream in the Napoleon but just would give an exception considering it’s taste and is a dessert to be shared. The Anna Pavlova was one of the prettiest desserts you can find. It wasn’t just the meringue that was good, but the vanilla ice cream found inside the Anna Pavlova was even more alluring and an addictive one.
We ended our lunch with a lovely traditional Uzbek tea which was the right ending to our fabulous meal at OSH. Click here to visit their official website. Click pictures below to see them in full screen view:
